I'm not even sure that can go down as a drop as she didn't even get there in time, which seems to be a trend.

You have to feel for Leah Paul who has created two opportunities this over.

Ireland have tried everything but it doesn't hep your morale when those catches go down.

  2. dropped catch

Dar dropped on 32published at 17 overs

    Pak 138-2

That should've have been taken by Arlene Kelly at mid-off.

Dar hit the ball up high, but the ball bounces out of Kelly's hands at mid-off. Pakistan take a single before Muneeba Ali clears the infield again.

Louise Little charges in and takes a dive but the ball squirms under her and its another four for Pakistan.

I don't think you could rule out Pakistan scoring 170 here.

There's two more boundaries for Muneeba Ali. She clears Arlene Kelly fifth ball and hits it behind point.

Kelly's next ball is full and Muneeba plays another great sweep shot to fine leg.

She could be on for the first century of the tournament.

The wind has picked up. It's not as vicious as I thought it was going to be though.

  7. Pak 117-2published at 15 overs

We have the first six of the day!

Cara Murray bowls a full length and Nida Dar uses her feet well, takes a step forward to hit the ball over long-on for six.

Muneeba Ali hits the third ball over extra for four to bring up the 50 partnership between the two.

Here's the controversial wicket from earlier that dismissed Pakistan's captain Bismah Maroof...

  9. Pak 102-2published at 14 overs

    Shot!

Muneeba Ali hits Laura Delany over mid-off for four but she's not done yet.

The opener sweeps the next ball, which is a low full toss, towards square leg for another boundary.

    Delany responds with a yorker.

Ireland's World Cup record is played 14, lost 14. They are desperate to get off the mark.

There is such a temptation to bowl it short in South Africa. But these pitches are very tired. Bowling full is the better option.

  12. Pak 91-2published at 13 overs

Orla Prendergast is varying her lines and bowling yorkers and Muneeba Ali and Nida Dar struggle to find the boundary in this over.

    Only four singles added.

Interestingly Laura Delany has dismissed Bismah Maroof four times, which considering how little these two sides play each other, that is phenomenal.

It could have been really easily after that Bismah dismissal for things to fall apart.

To see Muneeba go on, I wonder if she's wondering about pushing the accelerator because there are big hitters to come.

  15. 50 runs

There's a lot of flight from Eimear Richardson and Dar takes advantage to hit to wide long-on boundary.

The final ball is full and Muneeba hits a sweep shot to deep square leg to bring up her maiden T20 international half-century.

At this stage, Ireland would be looking for any total under 150. I'd have said 130 at the start of the day. They need to get Muneeba out cheaply.

  17. dropped catch

Muneeba dropped on 43published at 11 overs

    Pak 77-2

Pakistan's big hitter Muneeba Ali hits left-arm spinner Leah Paul really high towards wide long on.

Two fielders set off in pursuit but the catch is dropped by Louise Little at deep mid-wicket. That could be costly for Ireland.

If Pakistan get around 160, it could be really difficult for Ireland to chase.

  19. drinks break

Laura Delany comes into the attack. There's an lbw shout from the penultimate ball but it's dismissed by the umpire and there's only three singles taken in the over.

    Time for a drinks break.

This is an important partnership now for Pakistan. Bismah Maroof was really leading the innings.
