    Dar c Ramharack b Fletcher 27 (Pak 59-3)

Nida Dar knew she had to accelerate but can only spoon a Afy Fletcher leg break skywards. Karishma Ramharack is stationed at cover point and barely has to move to claim a dolly of a catch.

That was not the hardest of chances! It should have been taken.

  3. dropped catch

Dar dropped on 26published at 12.5 overs

Nidar Dar drives Chinelle Henry uppish towards mid-off, where Hayley Matthews is on the move. The West Indies skipper makes a dogs dinner of the catch and spills it.

  4. Pak 58-2published at 12.4 overs

A boundary for Nida Dar as she heaves Chinelle Henry across the line for Pakistan's third four of the innings. Here's one of those reverse sweeps from her partner Bismah Maroof from a little while ago.

I'm worried about the required run-rate. We don't see teams chase at really big run-rates. Unless they find a boundary or two in the next over, it will be difficult.

At the end of 12th over and just two boundaries for Pakistan so far - both off Bismah Maroof's bat - as five runs are milked off Karishma Ramharack's third over.

The run-rate is up above eight now. It's going to be tough for Pakistan from here you feel, unless one of these two cuts loose.

In case you missed it...here's that moment West Indies nearly produced a piece of fielding brilliance from a little earlier.

This was such a great opportunity for Pakistan to keep themselves alive in the tournament. I think this is one of the better Paarl pitches we've seen. It's not as sticky and I think runs could have been scored quicker.

We are back under way. Spin again, courtesy of Afy Fletcher's leggies. Pakistan get busy as Bismah Maroof and Nida Dar rotate the strike, and run well to take five singles off six balls.

They have wickets in hand here, but need to start finding the boundary with a little more regularity.

Definitely. This pitch is slow but not that slow.

I wonder if Pakistan's sense of opportunity to progress at an ICC tournament is scrambling their thinking?

  13. Pak 40-2published at 10.0 overs

Back to seam, but Chinelle Henry's radar is a little off as she gives away three wides. Just one run off the bat, though. Pakistan skipper Bismah Maroof has 10 runs from 16 balls while her partner Nida Dar has 12 from 18.

Pakistan are starting, at long last, to find a bit of momentum.

Afy Fletcher's looping leg-breaks now, as West Indies try to suffocate Pakistan's efforts to get any momentum. Intelligent batting from Pakistan batter Bismah Maroof as she again reverse pulls for four, this time through fine leg.

A productive over with nine runs from it.

I don't know how Pakistan go into this situation. This is massively disappointing.

Here's how Muneeba Ali was dismissed by Hayley Matthews a little earlier. The West Indies skipper has been in the thick of the action so far.

  18. Pak 27-2published at 8.0 overs

    Target 117

Into the eighth over and Pakistan finally have their first boundary of the innings to alleviate some of the pressure building in this chase. A deft change of stance and Bismah Maroof wristly reverse pulls Hayley Matthews' third delivery for four.

West Indies' fielding has been really good here, they are putting the squeeze on.

    Good captaincy by Hayley Matthews.

Good intensity from West Indies in the field at the moment as they starve Pakistan's batters of singles. There's almost a run out off Karishma Ramharack as Nida Dar attempts to tip and run, but Bismah Maroof sends her back. However, the throw is a little wild.

    Three runs off that over.
