We've got another debate about camera foreshortening again, I think...

The replays suggest it might touch the ground just before Roy is able to flick it up.

You can never really tell whether the fielder has got a finger underneath the ball or not with those and third umpires generally tend to go with 'not' - no different here.

  2. Umpire reviewpublished at 17.4 overs

We've got another review for a catch!

A full toss from Rashid, hit to mid-wicket by Shanto and Jason Roy bends down, flicks it up and takes the catch.

Does it touch the ground first? Soft signal is out again but it's another tight one.

  3. India collapse to 109 all outpublished at 07:29 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2023

India's day is going from bad to worse.

Halfway through the second session of their third Test with Australia, Rohit Sharma's side have been bowled out for 109.

The hosts, after winning the toss and deciding to bat first, lost seven wickets in the opening session.

Virat Kohli top-scored with 22, while spinner Matthew Kuhnemann took 5-16.

India currently lead the four-Test series 2-0.

  4. Ban 89-2published at 17 overs

Just one from the remainder of the Moeen over and now we're going to see his spin twin, Adil Rashid.

  5. Not outpublished at 16.3 overs

    Ban 88-2

It's six! Salt touched down over the rope just before releasing the ball.

It was almost too casual from the England fielder and his reaction suggests he knows it. A let off for Mushfiqur and Bangladesh.

  6. Umpire reviewpublished at 16.3 overs

Six or out? Hard to tell as Mushfiqur goes big against Moeen but picks out Salt in the deep.

He's right on the edge but did he get rid of the ball in time as he tossed it up, went over the rope and then stepped back?

    Soft signal is out.

  7. Ban 81-2published at 16 overs

Mushfiqur is a diminutive figure and despite making himself shorter to duck a Wood bouncer, the ball only just gets over him.

Clears the stumps comfortably enough but I'm trying to work out whether bowled ducking a bouncer is better or worse than being bowled ducking a beamer?

  8. Ban 80-2published at 15.2 overs

Drinks done and Shanto continues to try and take on the short stuff from Wood.

This time the ball doesn't get up quite so much and the left-hander is able to nail it in past mid-wicket for four.

  9. drinks break

    Ban 75-2published at 15 overs

Nearly a run out as Mushfiqur drops the ball into the off side and sets off for a single.

Shanto sends him back as Buttler scurries out from behind the stumps, swoops and shies at the stumps.

The throw misses, Mushfiqur might just have been back anyway but with no one there to back up, he gets his single anyway.

    Time for drinks.

  10. Ban 73-2published at 14.3 overs

Bangladesh's wait for another boundary is over as Shanto rocks back and hammers the ball through extra cover.

    Too short from Moeen Ali.

  11. Ban 68-2published at 14 overs

Mark Wood's bowling: 0% full, 20% good length and 80% short. 3 overs, 0 maidens, went for 11 runs, took 1 wickets with an economy of 3.67.Image source, BBC Sport

A couple of short balls in the over and Shanto takes them on, cutting the first and pulling the second. Two runs each time.

A third bumper is attempted in between by Wood but it's too high and called wide.

  12. Ban 63-2published at 13 overs

    Mushfiqur 5, Shanto 18

It has been a little while since the last boundary for Bangladesh but they do manage five singles from Moeen's first over.

Nothing excessive in terms of spin for Moeen yet.

  13. Postpublished at 07:03 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2023

Time for a first look at spin today, Moeen Ali is into the attack.

  14. Ban 58-2published at 12 overs

Mark Wood has started very well here. Good areas, attacking the batters and, of course, all at the speed of light.

  15. Ban 55-2published at 11 overs

Chris Woakes' bowling: 5% full, 46% good length and 49% short. 6 overs, 0 maidens, went for 24 runs, took 1 wickets with an economy of 4.00.Image source, BBC Sport

Woakes is into his sixth over and has settled into things, hitting a hard length time and again.

Good over, just a single from it. You'd imagine, there will be a change from that end now.

  16. Ban 54-2published at 10 overs

Like Archer, Wood quickly - and consistently - clocks upwards of 90mph but also like Archer, he oversteps early.

The free hit is top-edged by new batter Mishfiqur Rahim on the hook but looks to be four all the way before a superb diving stop from James Vince.

A couple of good 'uns from Wood to end the powerplay. Probably honours even after that wicket of Tamim.

    Stumps everywhere!

Mark Wood strikes in his first over and that just shows what pace can do.

Back of a length to Tamim Iqbal, who had been batting so well, the ball gets up, nips back a fraction and is on him quicker than expected.

Painful in more ways than one for Tamim as the ball hits his back elbow and ricochets onto the stumps, uprooting two of them.

AllGoodChap: After yesterday's Test in New Zealand, this feels a little 'after the Lord Mayor's show' to be honest. Never, ever thought I'd find myself pondering if there's actually too much cricket!!

  19. Ban 51-1published at 9 overs

    Tamim 23, Shanto 12

Any width is being punished so far in this innings and the speed of the outfield means the batters don't even have to middle it to find the boundary.

Shanto thumps Woakes through the covers off the back foot and when the bowler goes too full, he drives beautifully through mid-on.

Back-to-back boundaries. One over left in the powerplay.

  20. dropped catch

Shanto dropped on 4published at 8 overs

    Ban 42-1

I say dropped, Jason Roy has nearly taken an absolute stunner diving to his right at backward point.

Shanto had guided Archer for four down to deep third early in the over before being worked over by the England quick, with a short leg brought in.

However, a short, wide ball ends the over and was cut powerfully by Shanto. Roy can't hold on to a stunner but he does save four.
