England captain Jos Buttler: "I was a little bit unsure, to be honest. I was generally thinking to have a bat but it's a little bit tacky so there might be some spin early as well.

"Will Jacks is coming in to make his debut which is exciting and we've got Mark Wood and Jofra Archer in the same team as well, which is exciting with the pace they bring.

"We've very calm about our recent form, we're very realistic about where we're at. We're a very good team even if we haven't had the series wins that we would've liked and the bigger picture is always about building towards the World Cup.

"It's about exposing guys, especially in these conditions it is going to be fantastic for us. Probably the hardest conditions for us as a team.

"We try and play a very aggressive style of cricket and it's about adapting and being smart. Generally here the bounce is lower and the pitches are slower so we'll have to adapt as a group."

Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal: "It looks an OK wicket. It might spin a little bit in the second innings and may be a little up and down.

"Confidence is high. In this format we've been doing well for a number of years now. England are a brilliant team and we just need to put our best foot forward.

"They are definitely one of the best teams in the world at the moment. It is a long time since we've faced them but the boys are up for the challenge."

When it is retrieved it is shown to have come down heads and home skipper Tamim Iqbal opts to bat first.
