    Exceptional.

Jason Roy reaches his gutsy hundred off 104 deliveries - with 12 fours and one six - with a pull shot for an easy single.

What a knock. That's his 12th ODI ton for England.

  3. Eng 159-3published at 30.3 overs

    Roy 99, Buttler 28

Drama! Apparently Roy might be on 98 due to a scorer issue.

Well he gets another single again to move back to 99.

  4. Eng 158-3published at 30.1 overs

    Roy 99, Buttler 27

Delay as Mustafizur Rahman brings the field in.

Slower ball to start which Roy pushes through for a single. On to 99 not out.

James Vince undoubtedly has the pedigree and is a superb player but it doesn't always transfer to international cricket. Such a shame for him. It was a huge chance for him with other absentees but it's just one of those things.

    Rich from Kent

  6. Eng 157-3published at 30 overs

    Roy 98, Buttler 27

And Roy keeps the strike with a single off another sweep.

  7. 6 runs

    Eng 156-3published at 29.5 overs

    Roy 97, Buttler 27

    Pressure? What pressure?

Jason Roy goes to 97 by skipping down the ground and launching England's first maximum over the bowler Mehidy's head.

  8. Eng 147-3published at 29 overs

That four by the way brought up England's 50-partnership.

It's been a superb stand so far from these two, navigating England out of trouble and now the tourists must be targeting 270+.

  9. Eng 146-3published at 28.3 overs

Mustafizur Rahman is back into the attack. Roy moves into the 90s by dabbing the pacer to third man for a single.

Next ball, clubbed! Jos Buttler finds the ropes with a cover drive for four.

  10. Eng 141-3published at 28 overs

    Roy 89, Buttler 20

Roy moves to 89 with a single to finish off Mehidy's latest eventful over.

Two wides and a huge appeal from it, England are just holding their nerve at the moment.

Jason Roy's on 88 by the way. No bat involved...

    Eng 137-3

Huge appeal as Jason Roy misses a sweep with the ball hammering into his boot.

    Not out, Bangladesh review it.

Dan Nixon: You get the feeling that Vince is only in this squad as Bairstow, Brook & Root are unavailable. He is a good player but he is a prime example of an England player who is too good for county level cricket but not good enough for international cricket.

  15. Eng 133-3published at 27 overs

Urgh! A leading edge from Jos Buttler lands safe as England tick through another Taskin over, five runs from this one.

It looks like there's still plenty of movement and turn out there for the bowlers.

England's latest partnership stands at 37 off 41.

Mark Poole: This is probably the 8th time now they’ve gone back to Vince. He’s a terrific County player but time and time again, he just isn’t good enough for the international scene. That’s not me being harsh, the scores back that up.

  17. Eng 128-3published at 26 overs

    Roy 87, Buttler 13

Taijul Islam comes back into the attack and immediately he's seeing plenty of turn, catching a harmless edge from Jason Roy.

The fielders come in but Roy relieves the pressure, moving to 87 with a premeditated reverse over the ring. Cat and mouse cricket.

England have built a platform. Is 300 on?

Halfway through the innings, England are going well - Jason Roy, in particular.

To take you through what could be an exciting second half of the innings, it's over to Joe Rindl.

  20. Eng 122-3published at 25 overs

Taskin did for Buttler in the first ODI and gets him to play and miss with a cut shot to end the over.

It took a smart stop at backward point to deny Buttler a boundary the ball before. Three from the over.
