  2. 'From one to 11 the guys stood up'published at 13:58 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2023

England captain Jos Buttler: "That was a fantastic series win. Bangladesh are a formidable team at home, we are delighted to get a series win.

"We spoke about ways we could improve from the last match and I thought we did that really well today. Jason Roy led with the batting and guys chipped in around him and then a fantastic start with the ball.

"As spoken about, these are probably the conditions we would find the hardest as a team and to play like we did today is a fantastic achievement. From one to 11 the guys stood up and I thought the standard and intensity we played at was much higher than the first game, and that's what we strive to get to.

"We've talked a lot in the dressing room about adapting to conditions and being a team that can play in a variety of ways. When we turn up in Chittagong we are going to have to assess the conditions and play accordingly. But there are lots of guys putting their hands up."

  3. 'I gave myself an opportunity'published at 13:55 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2023

Player of the match, England opener Jason Roy: "I've spent a lot of time playing a lot of cricket in the subcontintent, when I was younger doing training camps, and today I had to dig deep with those skills and put it on the field.

"I needed to give myself an opportunity today. In the first game I had a rush of blood and played a pretty poor shot against the spin. Today I made sure I batted time and made sure I gave myself the best opportunity to score runs.

"It was an unbelievable effort to put on over 300. Jos [Buttler] and I rotated the strike really well. All three of Jos, Moeen Ali and Sam Curran scoring as freely as they did was an incredible effort. They showed a lot of skill."

  4. 'Credit must go to England'published at 13:53 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2023

Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal: "I think I was a bit disappointed with the way we started with the ball and the first four or five overs.

"And then we had an opportunity to bring them down, we missed a run out. But they batted well, Roy batted exceptionally well. Buttler batted as well.

"So yes I am disappointed to lose the series.

"When you lose a game like this you can point a lot of fingers at a lot of people. But I'm not the kind of person to do this. We just didn't click as a team today. It was not the fault of any individual.

"When you lose three wickets in the first two or three overs it becomes very difficult. When you're chasing 326 at some time you have to go. I thought my shot didn't quite come off, but when you're chasing 326 someone has to take a risk.

"We would like to finish the series on a high, it is very disappointing we lost the series, but credit must go to England."

Jason Roy was sensational today. The England opener accelerated as batting became easier and reached a 104-ball hundred during a 109-run stand with skipper Jos Buttler.

It was his 12th ODI ton, only Joe Root and Eoin Morgan have more for England.

Four more from Taskin Ahmed who finishes the over with a slap straight past the bowler.

England and Sam Curran won't mind that too much I reckon though. The plan is full and straight. You miss, I hit.
