  1. Ban 152-3published at 32 overs

Good over from Archer and a nice bouncer to finish. Right up at Mushfiqur's collarbone and the right-hander just manages to get on top of it to defend.

    He didn't look comfortable, though.

  2. Ban 150-3published at 31 overs

A delicate late cut from Shakib ends Rashid's latest, it brings him a couple of runs and that takes Bangladesh to 150.

It's perhaps not the most thrilling passage of play but the home side are building a strong platform.

  3. Ban 144-3published at 30 overs

Jofra Archer's bowling: 0% full, 30% good length and 70% short. 5 overs, 1 maidens, went for 23 runs, took 0 wickets with an economy of 4.60.Image source, BBC Sport

Freebie from Archer, angling the ball down leg to Mushfiqur and the Bangladesh right-hander tickles it fine for four.

  4. Ban 137-3published at 29 overs

Steady start from Rashid with just four singles from the over.

Shakib tries to get after him with a skip down the track but can only drag the ball to the fielder at mid-wicket. No run.

After a long period of spin, Jofra Archer is back to inject some pace into proceedings.

  5. Ban 133-3published at 28 overs

    Mushfiqur 61, Shakib 6

After the Bangladesh batters milk Moeen for singles, plus a reverse sweep for two from Mushfiqur, the England off-spinner nearly gets the ball through Shakib's defence with one that skids on.

More leg-spin at the other end, Adil Rashid is coming on to replace Rehan Ahmed.

  6. Ban 127-3published at 27 overs

In Mushfiqur and Shakib, Bangladesh have two stalwarts of their ODI team at the crease and they're able to put a bit of pressure on England's debutant.

Ahmed shows the first signs he might be tiring a touch in the sixth over of his spell, dragging a googly short and then overcorrecting to allow Mushfiqur to drill the ball back down the ground for four.

Good ball to finish, though, turning sharply again and Mushfiqur edges it onto his back pad.

  7. Ban 119-3published at 26 overs

Moeen Ali's bowling: 11% full, 89% good length and 0% short. 6 overs, 0 maidens, went for 35 runs, took 0 wickets with an economy of 5.83.Image source, BBC Sport

Very tidy over from Moeen Ali, just a single from it and a ripper to finish. The ball turns sharply past Shakib's outside edge.

Rehan Ahmed will continue from the other end.

  8. Postpublished at 07:52 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2023

Thanks, Joe. Bangladesh had fought back well since those two early wickets from Sam Curran.

However, that needless run out has not helped their cause.

  9. Ban 118-3published at 25 overs

Well, plenty happening in that Rehan Ahmed over as Shakib gets off the mark with a two.

I'm off for a break. Sam Drury will take you through until the interval.

Terrible mix-up from Bangladesh and the partnership is broken after 98 runs.

Shanto knocks the ball into space on the off side but doesn't fancy running despite his partner being halfway down the crease.

Eventually he scampers through but keeper Jos Buttler scoops up the ball and throws it to Rehan Ahmed who takes out the stumps at the non-striker's end.

He's well out of his crease even with a dive.

Najmul Hossain Shanto scampers a quick single off Moeen Ali to reach his fifty off 69 balls.

    Five fours as well.

  15. Ban 107-2published at 23 overs

    Shanto 49, Mushfiqur 45

Rehan Ahmed's over finishes with a loud appeal from Jos Buttler as Shanto sweeps one finally for a two.

No reaction from the bowler though and rightly so, that's off the gloves.

  16. Ban 104-2published at 22.4 overs

Unforgiveable from England as Bangladesh sneak another run thanks to a Sam Curran overthrow.

    Tighten it up boys.

That's the hundred up after 22 overs as Mushfiqur punches a two to deep cover.

At what point do I start to worry that England aren't taking wickets in the middle overs?

  18. Ban 97-2published at 21.1 overs

    Shanto 45, Mushfiqur 40

Crunched! Shanto gets another four, reversing Moeen Ali to the ropes.

A good over, five runs from it. Rehan Ahmed is a special talent. His googly spits off the surface and stays low, causing all sorts of chaos.

  20. Not outpublished at 20.1 overs

    Ban 89-2

The delivery's done too much! Rehan Ahmed's googly is pitching in line but the ball turns sharply and ends up missing off stump.

    England lose their review.
