I think it's easier when the ball is harder. Jos Buttler and Phil Salt seemed to play well with the ball coming on. It didn't come off the same pace or height in the second half of the innings. The simplicity of the way they bowled back of a length in second part. It's something England's bowlers will look to implement.

  8. Ban 20-0published at 1.5 overs

Rony Talukdar flashes at slightly wider one from Chris Woakes and he gets a thick edge which flies over the England fielder at short third and races away to the boundary.

Two balls later and Talukdar backs away to give himself room and lifts Woakes back over his head for another four. Nice shot.

Rony Talukdar is given plenty of width by Sam Curran from his fifth ball and he thrashes it through the covers for four. A slower ball, which dribbles through to Jos Buttler, to finish the over prevents him from pinching the strike.

  11. Ban 4-0published at 0.2 overs

Litton Das goes down the pitch and wallops Sam Curran's second delivery to cow corner for a one-bounce four. Bangladesh up and running.

Okay, England's players are out in field. Sam Curran is at the top of his mark just going through some final loosening exercises.

Litton Das has just taken guard with Rony Talukdar at the non-striker's end.

Bangladesh dropped a dolly of catch when they put Jos Buttler down and he made them pay. He used his power and ability. It was a masterful innings from him on a day when everyone else struggled with the bat. He looked the world-class batter that he is. I think he's set England up nicely.

Strong finish from Bangladesh. Allan Donald, their bowling coach, looked pleased with the way they fought back.

Have England got enough runs on the board? As Ffion said, it's a used pitch, so will be a tricky one to call in my book.

    Thanks, Ffion.

Is it snowing where you are? There's something strangely comforting about watching cricket from overseas while outside turns into a winter wonderland.

Mind you, I suspect a few people prepping club cricket grounds around the UK ahead of the new season who don't quite share the sentiment.

It was a great start for England with Phil Salt and Jos Buttler going hard in the first 10 overs.

They looked set for at least 180 before Buttler fell for 67 in the 17th over and that started a great spell of death bowling from Bangladesh's seamers to peg England back.

But they should still have enough on a slow, sluggish pitch. Here's Timothy Abraham to take you through the chase.

Oh, it's so close to being perfection from the final ball!

It's a fantastic bit of work from Shanto again at long-on, running round to retrieve an almost certain six from Moeen but just hauling it in and tipping the ball back over the ropes - but the fielder joining him can't quite finish off the relay catch.

Instead, they run two, and Bangladesh need 157 to win.

    And there it is!

Just a fraction too full from Taskin and Chris Jordan carves it past point for four.

  20. Eng 147-6published at 19.2 overs

Another dot ball from the impressive Taskin Ahmed and it's now been three overs since England's last boundary.

The seamers have really been excellent at the death here.
