Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan: "We don't know what a good score will be on this used pitch so that's why we have assessed and decide to let them bat first.

"We need to play with freedom and after the World Cup it's the first match in the T20 format so some players come in from the Bangladesh Premier League and hopefully they transfer some good form for Bangladesh."

England captain Jos Buttler: "It's going to be a good test for us. We've got some experience in our squad, which bodes well so we're looking forward to the series.

"We wanted to bat first. It's a used wicket from the last ODI so we know the conditions but we will have to adapt quickly.

"T20 encourages you to play with a lot of freedom which is enjoyable and it gives our guys a good chance to go out there and express themselves and show what they can do."
