  1. wicket

WICKET Lloyd c Harris b Price 6published at 15:09 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Glamorgan 404 & 6-1 v Gloucestershire 165 & 567-7 (Glamorgan require 325 to win)

    Gone in the first over!

David Lloyd picks up six runs in two balls off Tom Price but then the bowler has his man, with Marcus Harris taking the catch in the deep.

That's spiced things up a bit already!

  2. 50 runs

for Ben Comptonpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Kent 222 & 110-3 v Northamptonshire 117 & 331 (Kent require 117 to win)

A half-century for Ben Compton and that total Kent are chasing does not look quite as intimidating now.

He's anchored the innings well after some early dismissals and now the pressure is on Northants to find a breakthrough.

  3. wicket

    WICKET - Rew b Rushworth 14published at 15:04 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Somerset 284 & 92-5, Warwickshire 392

Another one gone. James Rew attempts to pull a loosener from Chris Rushworth but somehow succeeds only in dragging into the leg stump off his glove.

Stand-in skipper Lewis Gregory comes in. He hit a half-century in the first inings.

With half his side gone and 16 runs behind, Somerset could use another one now.

  4. 50 runs

for Colin Ackermannpublished at 15:03 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Yorkshire 517 & 286-8, Leicestershire 415 & 165-2

Colin Ackermann is really taking the game to Yorkshire at Headingley.

He hit Dom Bess for back-to-back fours an over or two ago, and now he moves past 50 with a flick into the leg-side.

It's taken him just 53 balls.

  5. Gloucestershire set Glamorgan 331 to winpublished at 14:58 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Glamorgan 404 v Gloucestershire 165 & 569-7d

And there is the Gloucestershire declaration.

Their batters have enjoyed racking up the points which has given them a 331-run advantage with a minimum of 48 overs left on this Easter Sunday.

Which way do you see this one going?

  6. 50 runs

for Tom Pricepublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Glamorgan 404 v Gloucestershire 165 & 567-7

Another milestone marked-up for Gloucestershire who continue to pile on the misery for the home bowlers.

This time it's Tom Price getting in on the act with a half-century.

In this innings Marcus Harris hit 148, Graeme van Buuren is unbeaten on 110, Chris Dent 78 and Miles Hammond 58.

The Glos batting stats will look pretty good after this one - but how long will they keep going for is the big question?

  7. 50 runs

    Jake Libby's half-centurypublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Derbyshire 321 & 343, Worcestershire 473 & 101-1

Jake Libby brings up his half-century - and the Worcestershire hundred too.

Over halfway to their total now.

    Only 91 more needed.

  8. ESSEX WIN BY 97 RUNSpublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 9 April 2023
    Breaking

    Middlesex 170 & 210 v Essex 266 & 211

Jamie Porter bowls Tim Murtagh to pick up his ninth wicket of the game, and with it, the victory for Essex!

The win had always looked on the cards after Essex blew away Middlesex's top order in both innings to leave them with a mountain to climb.

Luke Hollman, who finished unbeaten on 63, and Ryan Higgins' partnership made a game of it for longer than some may have predicted but Shane Snater's two wickets in two balls after lunch extinguished Middlesex's hopes once and for all.

A win to kick off the campaign for Essex!

  9. Postpublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Middlesex 170 & 209-9 v Essex 266 & 211 (Middlesex need 99 runs to win)

Luke Hollman is still going along well and a few boundaries bring the number of runs required down to two figures - if Middlesex fans are looking for some positive news!

He's being ably supported by Tim Murtagh at the other end.

  10. wicket

WICKET - Bartlett b Hasan Ali 20published at 14:36 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Somerset 284 & 62-4, Warwickshire 392

All the good George Bartlett had done with four fine boundaries is undone as he goes for one expansive drive too many - and loses his middle stump.

Four wickets down - but James Rew then comes in to get off the mark with a first-ball boundary.

Despair in the BBC commentary box.

  11. 50 runs

for Rishi Patelpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Yorkshire 517 & 286-8, Leicestershire 415 & 129-2

Leicestershire's opener shows good feet to skip down the track and belt Dom Bess over his head for six at the Kirkstall Lane end.

It brings up 50 for the 24-year-old.

  12. 100 runs

for Graeme van Buurenpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Glamorgan 404 v Gloucestershire 165 & 531-7

The captain showing how it's done!

Graeme van Buuren hits a ton to push his side's lead up to almost 300.

  13. 50 runs

for Luke Hollmanpublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Middlesex 170 & 195-9 v Essex 266 & 211 (Middlesex need 113 runs to win)

Three runs taken off the bowling of Simon Harmer takes Luke Hollman past 50.

It was his partnership with Ryan Higgins which made a big difference but ultimately it looks like not being enough after those two quickfire Shane Snater wickets after lunch.

  14. 50 runs

for Josh Bohannonpublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Lancs 291 & 149-2 v Surrey 442 & 292-6/d

Josh Bohannon guides Kemar Roach down to third for four, and moves past 50.

He's batted excellently. Plenty of work still to do though.

  15. 50 runs

Somerset get the 50 uppublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Somerset 284 & 54-3, Warwickshire 392

Looking better for Somerset as the continued positivity of their two young batters takes them exactly halfway to erasing their deficit.

Tom Lammonby (22) and George Bartlett (16) have so far each hit three boundaries.

Their stand is up to 29 - and Hasan Ali has so far gone for 16 from his two overs.

  16. 50 runs

Libby and Azhar bed in for improving Pearspublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Derbyshire 321 & 343, Worcestershire 473 & 70-1

Jake Libby and Azhar Ali calm things down for Worcestershire as they post a 50 partnership. From 17-1 to the much nicer sounding 70-1.

  17. wicket

    WICKET c A Cook b Snaterpublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Middlesex 170 & 180-9 v Essex 266 & 211 (Middlesex need 128 runs to win)

    Two in two balls!

It's all gone pear-shaped very quickly for Middlesex as Toby Roland-Jones edges to Alastair Cook first ball to give Shane Snater another wicket.

His intervention has made all the difference after Middlesex had been looking to give this game an interesting finale.

One more wicket needed for Essex to wrap up the points.

  18. wicket

WICKET Higgins lbw Snater 41published at 14:15 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Middlesex 170 & 180-8 v Essex 266 & 211 (Middlesex need 128 runs to win)

    Big wicket!

Ryan Higgins and Luke Holman put on almost 90 runs for the eighth wicket but Shane Snater has brought their partnership to an end.

Higgins batted well but that feels like the game-breaker.

  19. Postpublished at 14:12 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Lancs 291 & 132-2 v Surrey 442 & 292-6/d

Josh Bohannon takes Cameron Steel for successive fours through the offside, and moves into the 40s.

    Two gorgeous shots.

  20. Gloucestershire move over 500published at 14:11 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Glamorgan 404 v Gloucestershire 165 & 501-7

There's no doubt about it, Glamorgan's bowlers have found the last couple of days very tough going.

Glos have now passed 500 runs in their second innings, with skipper Graeme van Buuren still at the crease on 86, alongside Tom Price.

    Their lead is now 266.

What is van Buuren thinking in terms of a declaration I wonder.
