    Eskinazi c Sibley b Worrall 13 (Surrey v Middlesex 188-4)

First over after tea and Surrey have another wicket.

Stephen Eskinazi's poor form this season continues and Dan Worrall has his first wicket of the day.

    What is Eskinazi doing?

He flicks his hands at a rising ball just outside off and steers it straight to first slip.

Error of a man totally out of form.

Just 113 runs in eight innings for him this season.

  2. wicket

    Leaning c Dawson b Abbott 24 (Kent 94-7 v Hants)

A great catch from Liam Dawson at second slip, and Jack Leaning's resistance is broken.

  3. wicket

    Labuschagne b Waite 42 (Glamorgan 99-3 v Worcs 109)

Here's something you don't see very often... Marnus Labuschagne gets out when looking well set.

The Australian is knocked over by a beauty from Matthew Waite.

One Glamorgan innings left for Labuschagne before he hooks up with the Australia squad.

  4. Essex need to regrouppublished at 16:57 British Summer Time 11 May 2023

    Warwickshire v Essex 76-5

    Don Topley
    BBC Essex

Warwickshire dealt Essex two early blows having won an important toss at Edgbaston when play commenced at 15:00 BST

Essex lost Sir Alastair Cook, LBW to veteran seamer, Chris Rushworth, for 13 as Cook had all 13 runs scored. Cook’s opening partner Nick Browne took 21 balls to get off the mark and played some fine leg side shots before Browne was sensationally caught by the diving Michael Burgess, down the leg side.

Burgess really did cover some ground to collect the catch.

But the 23 over session became desperate for Essex as Dan Lawrence’s soft dismissal caused a minor collapse in an eventful over which saw Essex lose three wickets to the dynamic and in-form Rushworth.

Lawrence was caught at cover driving before Rob Yates caught his 14th catch of the season and Michael Pepper was adjudged lbw on the move.

Tea is where Essex need to regroup after an uncomfortable session. Captain Tom Westley remains undefeated on 23. Rushworth has a fine 4-18.

    Saud Shakeel c de Leede b Potts 8 (Durham v Yorkshire 202-8)

What in the world! Another miscued pull!

Saud Shakeel simply cannot have been watching from the other end because he too tries to pull and slaps Matty Potts to square leg.

10 balls, three pulls, three wickets, no runs.

This is now a miserable Yorkshire collapse.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:45 British Summer Time 11 May 2023

    Hill c de Leede b Raine 28 (Durham v Yorkshire 202-7)

Oh my goodness five balls later and George Hill also falls to a miscued pull!

Takes Ben Raine from outside off but hits it straight at short midwicket.

Yorkshire have lost 3-21 either side of tea and are now in trouble.

  8. rain stops play

Play abandoned at Leicestershirepublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 11 May 2023

Leicestershire v Sussex - no play Thursday, rain

The umpires have had their umpteenth look at Grace Road and have called things off.

The wet weather claims its second victim in the East Midlands today.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 11 May 2023

    Evison b Fuller 0 (Kent 76-6 v Hants)

Two types of leave - this is in the 'bad' category.

Joey Evison shoulders arms, and looks back in horror as James Fuller gets one to seam in and peg back off stump.

Fuller now has 4-10 from 4.4 overs - he's bowled beautifully.

That stunning Chris Rushworth over was the last act of the session in Birmingham, and has the hosts in the ascendency.

Until that point, Essex had actually had the better of the afternoon, with Tom Westley and Dan Lawrence putting on 52 for the third wicket.

  11. Glamorgan dominantpublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 11 May 2023

    Glamorgan 93-2 v Worcs 109

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Glamorgan dominated the second session at Sophia Gardens with James Harris wrapping up the visitors’ innings quickly after lunch before David Lloyd and Marnus Labuschagne soon took the Welsh county close to parity.

Ball of the season was Michael Neser’s inswinger to bowl Matthew Waite for 22 just after lunch, with Harris knocking over the rest including top scorer Gareth Roderick, edging to slip for 39.

Eddie Byrom fell to Joe Leach early in the home reply but the Pears’ seamers could not back Leach up, with everyone else leaking runs.

David Lloyd and Marnus Labuschagne were both dropped early in their innings, and Lloyd was given plenty of half-volleys to drive in his highest score of the season of 48 before Leach returned to bowl him just before tea.

  12. Tea at The Ovalpublished at 16:42 British Summer Time 11 May 2023

    Surrey v Middlesex 188-3

It's been better from Surrey since the restart and those two wickets for Gus Atkinson have brought them back into the day.

Sam Robson fell for 76 and Dawid Malan 66. The pair shared a wondered stand of 152 for the second wicket.

Stephen Eskinazi and Max Holden take Middlesex to tea.

    Bess c Carse b Potts 13 (Durham v Yorkshire 202-6)

A third wicket of the day for Matty Potts.

Dom Bess tries to pull a ball not all that short and it's very well held down low to the right of wide mid-on.

    Pepper lbw b Rushworth 0 (Warwickshire v Essex 76-5)

    Gone!!!!

What a player, what a bowler Chris Rushworth is, and Essex have thrown away their hard work this afternoon.

Rushworth nips one back, hits Michael Pepper in front of all three, and that brings him his third wicket in the over, and his fourth of the day.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 11 May 2023

    Cox c Brown b Fuller 12 (Kent 74-5 v Hants)

The faintest of edges - Jordan Cox has to go, and Kent are in all sorts of bother at Canterbury.

It's lovely bowling from James Fuller, who just gets one to hold its line - Ben Brown takes a straightforward catch behind the stumps.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 11 May 2023

    Critchley c Yates b Rushworth 0 (Warwickshire v Essex 76-4)

    Two in the over!

Matt Critchley looks to work his second ball to leg, but can only get a leading edge to Rob Yates at first slip.

    Chris Rushworth is on fire!

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:33 British Summer Time 11 May 2023

    Lawrence c Mousley b Rushworth 29 (Warwickshire v Essex 76-3)

A big wicket for Warwickshire, and it's that man Chris Rushworth again!

Dan Lawrence was going along nicely, but has skewed an attempted drive straight to Dan Mousley at cover.

  19. De Leede enjoying Durham debutpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 11 May 2023

    Yorkshire 191-5 v Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham have put real pressure on Yorkshire with the ball this afternoon, with progress slow for the batsmen.

Netherlands all-rounder Bas De Leede is making his Durham debut today.

HIs father Tim flew in from Amsterdam this morning to see the game and was with us on air when he got his first wicket. And what a wicket to get. England's Jonny Bairstow!

Tim played in three world cups for Netherlands and thinks playing first-class cricket will really benefit his son.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 11 May 2023

    Malan lbw b Atkinson 66 (Surrey v Middlesex 173-3)

    Gus Atkinson again!

He's got rid of Pieter Malan now with a full ball that's come back enough to beat the inside edge.

Malan was down the pitch a fraction but that's surely taking a chunk of leg stump.
