    Essex 207-3 v Somerset

With Alex Davies gone, Alastair Cook is now the best bet to be the first centurion of the day.

The Essex opener is up to 90 not out, helped by a short ball on his hip from Kasey Aldridge which the left-hander whips away to the fence at fine leg.

WICKET Davies lbw b Harrison 93published at 15:18 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Notts v Warwickshire 169-3

Alex Davies falls seven runs short of a century at Trent Bridge and it's the spin of Calvin Harrison that makes the breakthrough for Notts.

Harrison sends down a really full delivery, pretty much yorker-length, which hits Davies on the toe and it's plumb in front.

  3. wicket

WICKET Qadri c Foakes b Atkinson 5published at 15:16 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Kent 167-7 v Surrey

What a stunning catch from Ben Foakes. Flying to his left to make a one-handed grab and dismiss Hamid Qadri off the bowling of Gus Atkinson. Qadri clipped it off his hips quite tidily but that is simply a fine catch. Just didn't get quite enough bat on it or that would have been four runs.

Matt Quinn comes in to join Jordan Cox. Wes Agar and Arshdeep Singh still to come.

  4. Postpublished at 15:15 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Lancashire v Hampshire 115-7

Keith Barker and Mason Crane came together at 76-7 but have quietly put on a stand of 39 and counting.

Barker has five fours in his 31 from 52 balls while Crane is playing a fine supporting role with seven from 32, with one boundary.

Lancashire won't be worried, but they'll have noticed it. Like a pesky summer flying insect which won't go away.

  5. wicket

WICKET Walter b Aldridge 27published at 15:14 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Essex 188-3 v Somerset

Kasey Aldridge gets through the defences of Paul Walter and gets Somerset's third wicket with the Essex score on 188-3. Too much pace for the Essex batter and the ball clips the top of middle stump.

Matt Critchley joins Alastair Cook, who is 82 not out.

  6. Postpublished at 15:13 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Notts v Warwickshire 167-2

Alex Davies is into the nineties now and he goes for a big shot over the leg side off Calvin Harrison, but it's miscued and drops into space about 20 metres away from the Warwickshire batter.

Quite a few storms are popping up around the country now.

Hopefully we can steer clear of the scenes in Bristol elsewhere.

  8. wicket

WICKET Evison c Foakes b Moriarty 58published at 15:08 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Kent 162-6 v Surrey

The 121-run partnership is broken as Joey Evison leans back to try to work the spinner into the off side but gets a faint edge which is smartly taken by Ben Foakes.

Surrey's celebrations tell you how important they felt that wicket was. Evison lasted 107 balls and hit nine of them for four.

The new batter is Hamid Qadri.

  9. Postpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Essex 183-2 v Somerset

Paul Walter's mid-session drink will taste pretty sweet after a couple of classy scoring shots off spinner Shoaib Bashir in the final over before the short break.

Walter is on 27 not out and his partnership with Alastair Cook is now worth 47.

  10. Elsewhere in Division Twopublished at 15:03 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

Yorkshire have lost opener Fin Bean at Chesterfield but they're still in complete control on 91-1 replying to Derbyshire's 111 all out.

Worcestershire seamer Joe Leach has just picked up his fifth wicket at Sussex getting Fynn Hudson-Prentice caught behind. Sussex are in a bit of trouble on 155-6.

They came back on at Gloucestershire for a couple of overs, but they're now off for rain again. The hosts are 45-0 against Leicestershire.

  11. Postpublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Notts v Warwickshire 149-2

After 44 overs of seam bowling, we get our first view of spin at Trent Bridge in the shape of Calvin Harrison. It's a tidy start, with just one run from his opening six balls.

Notts are very much behind the over rate at the moment, so a few overs of spin should get them back on track in that regard, but can he break this third-wicket stand between Alex Davies and Sam Hain?

  12. 50 runs

for Carlsonpublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Durham v Glamorgan 190-3

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Glamorgan were three down at lunch, but by that point Kiran Carlson and Sam Northeast were already building a nice partnership. It's just reached 109 runs and Carlson is now on 66.

It's the 25th time he's made at least 50 in first-class cricket. It's the fourth time he's done it against Durham. He also made 82 against them two years ago in the One-Day Cup final.

Northeast has 36 runs and from a bowling point of view there's very little doing at the moment in the sunshine of Chester-le-Street. It's a nice day and this looks like a good toss to have won for the visitors.

  13. 100 runs

up for Hampshirepublished at 14:56 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Lancashire v Hampshire 104-7

Whisper it, but Keith Barker has looked the most convincing batter of the day for Hampshire.

He's creamed Daryl Mitchell straight back past the stumps at the other end for four and hit his third boundary off Jack Blatherwick to take his side into three figures.

He has 22 from 35 balls - the only Hants man to reach 20.

  14. 150 runs

up for Kent...with a sixpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Kent 153-5 v Surrey

Jordan Cox deposits Dan Moriarty into the seats for a big six over wide long-on. He made something which is very hard indeed look very simple. Cox has 62.

  15. Postpublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Notts v Warwickshire 147-2

Alex Davies and Sam Hain have put on 50 for the third wicket and are continuing to build a decent platform for Warwickshire at Trent Bridge.

Opener Davies is up to 81 not out.

  16. 50 runs

for Joey Evisonpublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Kent 147-5 v Surrey

Another hugely impressive knock from Joey Evison. He pulls a short ball from Dan Worrall away through square leg for four - his eighth four in a 95-ball stay. He's looked the business.

He made 77 at the Oval in Kent's 10-wicket demolition last time out. He'll have that number in his sights again, and more...

    21-years-old..

  17. 100 runs

partnership for Kentpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Kent 141-5

    30 runs were shared between Kent's top-five...

Jordan Cox and Joey Evison have added 100 for the sixth wicket from 179 balls. How important this stand will prove will only be known in the days ahead.

  18. 50 runs

for Jordan Coxpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Kent 138-5 v Surrey

Jordan Cox was given a new life on 31 and has cashed-in with his first half-century of the season.

An elementary straight drive for a one bounce four off Dan Moriarty is followed soon after by a clip off his pads for four to fine leg off Dan Worrall.

His knock featured nine fours in 92 balls. This will have done him the world of good.

  19. Postpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Essex 154-2 v Somerset

Craig Overton has got his tail up after having that appeal for caught behind turned down a couple of overs ago.

He beats the outside edge of left-hander Paul Walter on another couple of occasions as Somerset search for their third wicket of the day.

  20. Postpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 11 June 2023

    Notts v Warwickshire 134-2

It's been slow going for Sam Hain at Trent Bridge. One of the country's most accomplished T20 batters, he's currently five not out off 31 balls.
