    A much-needed breakthrough for Sussex.

Nathan McAndrew nips one back in to Jack Haynes and smacks him on the pad. Up goes the finger.

Worcestershire require another 133 in 22 overs.

    Kent 301 & 344 lost to Surrey 145 & 501-5

    Just amazing.

What a batting display from Surrey - and particularly marathon man Dom Sibley whose unbeaten 140 guides the Division One leaders to a sensational victory.

Ben Foakes (124) and Jamie Smith (114) claim honourable mentions, while Jordan Clark (26no) hit the winning single.

It's the second highest successful run chase in the County Championship ever. The highest in 98 years. And it's the eighth largest chase in first-class cricket history worldwide.

    Kent v Surrey 497-5 (target 501)

Dom Sibley takes a single to end the over and move on to 138.

Then another one to begin the next over.

  6. Division Twopublished at 16:33 British Summer Time 14 June 2023

Glamorgan continue to hold off Durham at Chester-le-Street.

Chris Cooke now has 124 and the visitors lead by 162 with 29 overs left.

But the run chases are on at Hove and Bristol - with money on both batting sides.

On the south coast, Worcestershire need 148 in 26 overs to beat Sussex with eight wickets in hand.

And in the westcountry, Leicestershire require 141 in 31 overs against Gloucestershire, also just two down.

Dom Sibley and Jordan Clark just alternating singles at the moment, prolonging Kent's misery.

  8. Postpublished at 16:29 British Summer Time 14 June 2023

    Notts 155 & 453-6 v Warks 571-9d

Warwickshire have got Chris Rushworth and Oliver Hannon-Dalby giving it one last go to try and find these four remaining wickets.

But they've got a 64-over old ball and a dead, slow pitch offering nothing whatsoever.

Joe Clarke has moved onto Richie Benaud - 222 - and Calvin Harrison has 34.

Notts lead by 37 with 30 overs remaining.

Both times wickets have fallen today, Notts have simply got going again and Bears have never really felt on course for victory.

He's been the rock through this and allowed everybody else to do what they do, Dom Sibley.

  10. Sibley innings passes 400 ballspublished at 16:24 British Summer Time 14 June 2023

    Kent v Surrey 480-5 (target 501)

Dom Sibley faces the 400th ball of his innings.

Nothing from it but he's already got 132 runs to his name - after almost nine and a half hours at the crease.

Surrey now just 21 runs away from victory and a place in the record books for this mammoth chase.

    Kent v Surrey 465-5 (target 501)

Jordan Clark gets away with one as an outside edge flies away for four.

If that had gone to a slip fielder, things would have got really interesting.

    Kent v Surrey 461-5 (target 501)

Now then, Surrey can't afford to get too complacent here.

Will Jacks follows Ben Foakes back to the pavilion having fallen to a similar sort of ambitious shot and catch out in the deep.

They still need 40 runs. Five wickets in hand. Jordan Clark the next man in - and he likes a slog to be fair.

  13. Postpublished at 16:08 British Summer Time 14 June 2023

    Kent v Surrey 452-4 (target 501)

Wes Agar begins the evening session with four dot balls but Will Jacks opens his shoulders and drives away the fifth ball to the boundary. Just 45 runs needed now.

Done before 5pm do we think?

Worcestershire looking the more likely winners, needing another 191 in 34 overs after tea, however in the first innings they lost 7-44 so Sussex still have hope

Jake Libby has again led the way, adding 97 to his first innings of 198, and when he was out he had been on the field for 338 overs or 2028 balls during the entirety of the game.

There's been some confusion as to whether Nathan McAndrew has received a second official warning for running on the pitch, prompting some listeners to advocate the use of yellow cards to make decisions clear.

  16. Tea at Canterburypublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 14 June 2023

    Kent v Surrey 452-4 (target 501)

Surrey won't need any sugar to make their tea taste sweet.

Kent's will taste like it's got salt in it.

Dom Sibley remains unbeaten on 125 and with just 49 runs needed, Surrey will be confident of writing their name in the County Championship history books - slotting in at second behind the Middlesex side of 1925 who knocked off 502 against Notts.

  17. Tea at Trent Bridgepublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 14 June 2023

    Notts 155 & 436-6 f/o v Warks 571-9d

How much more do Warwickshire have left in them?

They still need four more wickets and now Notts lead, so we'll lose two of the remaining 36 overs for a change of innings.

But you have to say it's not likely there will be a change of innings.

Bears have taken only two wickets all day and have been expertly repelled by Joe Clarke, who's made a maiden double-century.

He takes tea 216 not out.

Notts lead by 20 but another 50 minutes of batting after tea with this seventh-wicket intact may see a handshake.

  18. Elsewhere in Division Twopublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 14 June 2023

Worcestershire have a chance to steal the game at Hove.

They're 182-2 chasing 386 to beat Sussex. Jake Libby out for 97.

36 overs left for the Pears to score 204.

And at Bristol, Leicestershire are trying to chase down 221 and have come racing out of the traps against Gloucestershire.

They're 42-0 after just five overs.

They have another 41 overs to score the remaining 179 for a second win of the season.

  19. Postpublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 14 June 2023

    Kent v Surrey 442-4 (target 501)

Surrey want to get this over with not long after tea, it seems.

Will Jacks is the new man and it takes him just three balls to find the boundary.

The second highest County Championship run chase ever looks virtually in the bag - just 59 needed with six wickets and oodles of overs in hand.

for Chris Cookepublished at 15:31 British Summer Time 14 June 2023

    Durham 630 v Glam 390 & 368-7

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Chris Cooke came in at number seven for Glamorgan and has held things together nicely for them. He put on 72 for the sixth wicket with Billy Root and now 95 with Timm Van Der Gugten, all the while building Glamorgan's lead and eating up overs.

They were 81 behind when he came in during the first over this morning but his century in 168 balls with 14 fours has given Glamorgan hope of saving the game.

I said this morning there were partnerships to be forged on this wicket - and there have been. This afternoon has repeated yesterday when Durham were making runs in the sun.

The new ball, just like yesterday, has had no impact either.

Durham need to break this stand soon, time for a potential run chase is running down.

    Glamorgan lead by 128.
