Another lovely drive from David Warner brings him four more.
At this point, Australia would put three fielders out on the boundary.

The last time Jimmy Anderson bowled in a home Test match and didn't take the new ball was against the West Indies in 2009.
A nasty moment - and a lucky one - as Robinson slips in his delivery stride.
It's one that really makes you wince as you watch the replay as his back foot literally skids along the floor at a rather awkward angle.
He's absolutely fine, and finishes the over, but that could've been terrible.
"I told you I'd declare, lads!"
It's Ollie Robinson sharing the new ball with Broad, and Khawaja gets off the mark first ball with a couple through the covers.

It was a good boundary to get off the mark. I liked that first over, it was a good battle.
Here's the moment that Ben Stokes shocked us in perhaps his most remarkable move yet.
England declare on 393-8
Another mistake! Both batters almost end up in the middle of the pitch!
This declaration has certainly had the desired effect. In the dressing room, both Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith are fully padded up.
And as I say that, Warner drives sweetly for four.

Warner's talked about one of the mistakes he made in the previous Ashes was not being positive enough. You can see he is trying to do that and getting his hands through the ball.
The noise that follows every dot ball could genuinely be mistaken for a wicket.
A Broad no-ball gifts Australia their first run.

You just get the feeling that, even though Australia will have prepared themselves for this being a different series, England are completely messing with their heads. I think Australia may struggle with being seen as the dull old school side. It may work, it's may not, but blimey it's entertaining.

Warner survives the first...
He wanted a single, but is sent back by Khawaja. Wanting to get off strike already?

Absolutely love it. Absolutely unpredictable. Absolutely bonkers. What an absolutely splendid day of Test match cricket! And it ain’t over yet!

Stokes and Baz are just two lads having a laugh. “Shall we just declare?” “Yeah, why not!?”

Just a few stats to get your mouth watering as we head into what could be an(other) absolutely gripping passage of play.
I bet David Warner was not thinking he'd be batting tonight. It'll be tough, but if anyone loves a battle, it's this man.
Edgbaston is bubbling.
Stuart Broad has got David Warner out 14 times, three more than any other bowler in Test cricket. James Anderson sits third on the list with ten.
Broad is also joint-top on dismissals of Usman Khawaja in Test cricket with five. Anderson is one behind on four.

First of all, beautiful knock from Joe Root. Now, England are saying, we are absolutely delighted with what we've got.
It's psychological play from Ben Stokes. Always be on your toes with him!

Stuart Broad is out there already. The Aussies had hardly got off the field. How's Warner feeling?
It has been one heck of a day. Runs, wickets, sixes, constant swings of momentum.
And throughout it all, Joe Root's class has shone through.
Well, well, well.
Broad v Warner. Half an hour left. A raucous Edgbaston.
Let's have it!
