Ed Fernyhough: Root’s decision making sets him apart from other England players. Several players can play the shots Root can, but nobody in this team is as good as he is at reading a match situation & moving through gears accordingly.
Australia's plan to Stuart Broad is pretty clear, as he ducks uncertainly under a short ball from Pat Cummins.
