Usman Khawaja leaps into the air in celebration - he's got his maiden Test century in England!

What a knock it has been. It's a 15th Test hundred in total and he gets there from 199 balls with a boundary, guided through gully.

A patient knock but a crucial one for Australia - and he absolutely loves it.

It's actually a really good field. There's no one out on the leg side, Moeen Ali is saying to Alex Carey, sweep me if you dare. I suspect Carey will be putting the broom away for a while.

  4. Aus 221-5published at 68 overs

Alex Carey comes in at seven for Australia. Another left-hander for Moeen Ali to go at.

He gets off the mark with a single but the crowd give Moeen a huge ovation at the end of the over.

Do you think he's enjoying his return to Test cricket?!

A classic off-spinner's wicket through the gate of Cameron Green. Well bowled Moeen Ali. Absolutely gutted, I'm sat here with Isa Guha and she has got another wicket!

Without a doubt a dream, a little bit of drift, the length was right. Cameron Green thought he could cover it with his reach, but that was a superb delivery from Ali.

It's a beauty, it's an absolute beauty and it turns through the gate. It's a big, big moment. It was nicely poised and Moeen Ali the local man has turned it a mile. That will feel good.

    Green b Moeen 38 (Aus 215-5)

    That is a ripper!

Moeen Ali gives the ball a bit of flight, just outside off to tempt Cameron Green into the drive.

He goes for it but the ball turns sharply through the gate and clatters into middle stump.

Just how an off-spinner would have dreamt it! Brilliant delivery, a crucial wicket at a crucial time for England.

The Australia opener stay four away from three figures as he lets the last ball of the over go harmless through to Jonny Bairstow.

The tourists look pretty comfortable right now but we've seen how quickly things can change in this game...

Usman Khawaja is closing in on another Test century as he rocks back and pulls Ben Stokes behind square for four.

    He moves onto 96...

If you are England, you know you have 15 overs of hard work. If you can get one now, Green or Khawaja... If they stay in it is a potential match-winning performance.

  12. Aus 215-4published at 66 overs

Usman Khawaja stays on 92 and he plays out a maiden from Moeen Ali.

The England spinner rattled through that one in next to no time.

We're 14 overs away from the second new ball becoming available.

Young BBC upstart Jonty Colman is sat next to me today and informs me Usman Khawaja has been dismissed for 97 on three occasions in Tests.

    He's currently 92 not out.

I was just thinking about where we are in this game. I would've said this game is absolutely dead even at the moment, it's a 50/50 game. If this partnership builds, it's a great time to bat, a good flat wicket.

  15. Aus 215-4published at 65 overs

Ben Stokes' fifth no-ball in as many overs extends his latest but Cameron Green just pats the extra delivery back to him.

Who is on top in the match at this stage? It feels pretty delicately poised.

That's a poor ball from Ben Stokes. Green is such a tall man but he's crouched, I wonder if he thinks he can pick the lengths up if he is crouching?

  17. Aus 214-4published at 64.3 overs

Australia are on the charge to start this session!

Usman Khawaja flays the ball through the off side and it takes a good bit of fielding from Moeen Ali to prevent the boundary. Three runs.

No stopping the next one, though. Short and leg side from Stokes, hammered to the fence by Cameron Green.

  18. Aus 207-4published at 64 overs

Just a couple more from the Moeen Ali over.

The Aussies are looking to get after the England spinner, they've done so with reasonable success but it has cost them a wicket - and should have cost them two.

The 200 comes up for Australia as Cameron Green skips down to Moeen Ali and plants the ball over rope towards the sightscreen.

That also takes Green past 1,000 runs in Tests. Jonny Bairstow will be hoping he doesn't get much further in this innings.
