    Northants 237 & 11-0 v Kent 621

The reply is underway with Emilio Gay and Ricardo Vasconcelos setting out for a long stint in the middle. They need another 374 to make Kent bat again.

For added context, Daniel Bell-Drummond's first-innings total of 300 would be worth two batting bonus points - as many as Northants and Middlesex have mustered between them all season...

  4. wicket

    Essex 457 v Warwickshire 158 & 115-3

    A beauty from Simon Harmer!

The South Africa spinner pitches on or around leg stump, but gets the ball to spin away from Rob Yates' bat and tickle the edge.

After so much hard work, the Bears opener is undone by a superb piece of spin bowling.

    Bowled him!

George Bartlett's superb knock is over as Dane Paterson crashes one into middle and off-stumps.

New Zealand bowler Doug Bracewell is thrown the ball for Essex and Jacob Bethell greets him with a lovely cover drive.

    Breakthrough for Essex!

Jamie Porter induces an edge from Warwickshire captain Will Rhodes, but it's put down by William Buttleman.

Will they live to regret that drop? No.

Porter is ecstatic and so are the Essex fielders as that ends a second-wicket stand of 97.
