The Aussies are finding it really difficult to find the length to Ben Duckett. Duckett is able to open the blade beautifully and just did it there. You have to be either a lot shorter or a lot fuller, not anything in between.

The runs are flowing at the moment.

It is a pretty filthy short and wide delivery from Cameron Green, with Ben Duckett gleefully cutting away over gully for four.

The next shot is delicious though as Duckett plays a glorious cover drive to the rope.

In these kinds of situations, Australia need to be hiding the ball, they are bowling it straight into England's arc. Bowl it wide, bowl it high, bowl it short.

Another three, this time for Ollie Pope as he drives through the covers and Mitchell Starc is forced to scurry towards the boundary.

Nathan Lyon then bowls very, very wide to Ben Duckett, who opts against the cut.

Does that count as another leave?

It's a beautiful shot from Duckett, a little punch down the ground on-drive.

  7. Eng 160-1published at 33 overs

A lovely on-drive from Ben Duckett sends Josh Hazlewood running all the way down to the boundary and the Australia seamer pulls the ball back just before the rope and England run three.

The batters have picked up where they left off before tea.

I've nicknamed Ben Duckett, Cinders. Just like Cinderella he doesn't want to leave the ball...

Ben Duckett goes to pull a short delivery from Cameron Green and gloves the ball back over the slips and away for four to bring up England's 150,

Duckett takes off his glove and gives his hand a shake, that did look a painful.

He is quickly ready to go again, though.

Nathan Lyon races through another over, that's his 11th of the innings already, with a single apiece for the England batters.

The big, hulking figure of Cameron Green bangs the ball into the surface and gets one to leap up at Ben Duckett, who plays and misses outside off stump.

Green's big frame means he should be able to extract some life from this surface.

Nathan Lyon will continue to hold up the other end.

Cameron Green is coming in to bowl for the first time in this Test. Using CricViz's captaincy grid, Green is the best option with Nathan Lyon to bowl at Ben Duckett, but the worst for Ollie Pope.

I'm staggered that Australia haven't realised that Ben Duckett likes hip-high deliveries. That first ball, the bouncer was perfect, the second ball you have to go really wide and full.

Cameron Green begins with a bouncer to Ben Duckett and the ball goes through to the wicketkeeper.

Does that count as a leave?

The players are back out into the middle and it looks like we will see Cameron Green with the ball in his hand for the first time this match.

    Stumped

Alison Mitchell, Jim Maxwell and Charu Sharma all react to the landmark review into cricket in England and Wales, which says racism, sexism, classism and elitism are "widespread" throughout the sport.

We also ask, how England can find a way back against a dominant Australian team in the Women's Ashes?

Australian legend Merv Hughes and former England pace bowler Angus Fraser talk about their favourite Ashes memories.

And, the creator of the children's cartoon programme Bluey, Joe Brumm joins us to discuss why they included cricket into one of their episodes and how the sport is inspiring young children...

Ben 'never leaves' Duckett reached his fifth Test half-century shortly before the tea break.

He is 62 from 92 deliveries so far.

Ollie Pope is 32 not out from 40 deliveries, including three successive four off Mitchell Starc (one of them very streaky admittedly) and a glorious drive through the covers off Nathan Lyon.

    Thanks, Sam.

After you gave me the hospital pass of going through several England wickets at Edgbaston, it is nice of you to allow me the chance to look back at some England runs this time around.
