England could be six down today, there's been a few drops from Australia and some have flown through the cordon.

Harry Brook's game doesn't feel ready yet for the moving ball, he is great to watch playing straight. He is nowhere near a No.3. You see here already at No.5, he could've been out twice already off 12 balls.

Alex Carey will be worried, if Brook stays in, he scores and scores quickly. Australia are on the verge of doing something great.

    Eek!

Harry Brook looks to drive but his balance is all wrong. It flies off the edge and through the slip cordon before going away for four.

    Streaky.

Dave: What's the betting on five down by lunch? The optimism was high just 15 minutes ago.

Stu Foster: England did well while I was out getting my hair cut. As soon as I sit down on my return...

    Richard Wilkinson: Oh England…

I don't know whether that is just tiredness. That's a bad miss. Carey's legs just flattened, he didn't have any power to go across. It was a straight forward edge, he would've seen that the whole way.

Pat Cummins has been absolutely brilliant so far today.

Carey's dropped it, that's the third chance Australia have put down today.

    Oh, Alex Carey.

Pat Cummins draws the edge from Harry Brook but Carey spills it.

He's diving to his right, but by no means at full stretch and it just pops out of the right hand.

His hands go straight to this face. It is one he should be taking.

Will Harry Brook play the Harry Brook way? Or will he just try and draft it out?

Harry Brook, who 20 minutes ago probably didn't expect to bat in this session, is off the mark with a single.

Root was just trying to glide it down to that profitable area. It's just an inside edge. He's whacking his bat with his gloves, he knows he's made a mistake. Australia have picked up three huge wickets and are well on top now in this Test match.

    Ugh.

England have gone from 62-0 to 73-3 three-and-a-half overs.

Josh Hazlewood returns and cramps Joe Root for room. The former England captain tries to guide down to point but just inside edges onto his off stump.

    Australia are on top now.

Australia have got a great chance now. They looked flat for almost an hour until that Duckett wicket. They've got two key wickets. If they can get Joe Root out early, they will feel they can make some in roads.

Just sent a picture of a well set England scorecard, openers cruising on 61-0, to a colleague (1158). In the six minutes it took for him to reply, the tables turned. Apologies to England fans everywhere.

Moeen did a really good service for the side at Headingley, he went in at No.3 to let Brook go in at No.5. He makes batting look so easy. His Test batting average of 28 seems too low for him, he is better than that, plays more like a 35.
