Take Old Trafford out as it didn't happen, every match in this series has been close.
A quieter over as England took two singles off Mitch Marsh.
Just over five minutes until lunch.
Wonder what's on the menu today?
Australia have been a combination of brilliant and extremely sloppy today.
It's been a very weird mix.

Of all spells of four overs or more in England since 2006, Cummins' spell saw 66% false shots played against him. That is the highest of any bowling spell in that time.
There's definitely something in this pitch.
Harry Brook advances down the track but Mitchell Starc finds a little bit of bounce and it ends up smashing Brook in the right bicep.
Mark Wood could enjoy this pitch.

The Ashes aside, it will be interesting to see how much this brand of cricket has opened up five-day tests to the masses. I've even managed to get my Scottish mates into it...

Harry Brook picks up two more with a guide into point.
He's up to 30 off 27 balls.

It was just short of a length and Brook has picked that up. I don't know whether that was pre-meditated.

That was just a little flick for six, wow.
Harry Brook!
Mitch Marsh is on and Brook is straight after him.
He smashes his first ball for four through the covers before flicking effortlessly over mid-wicket for six.
A reminder of Brook's superb talent.
This is the first time that Harry Brook edged through slip.
Streaky.

I wonder when Australia last dropped three catches in a session? I would suggest that is very rare.
This is a very streaky innings from Harry Brook.
He's been dropped and now he's edged through the slip cordon for the second time.
It's a big drive from Brook but a thick edge goes straight through the vacant fourth slip area.

That's a bad misfield on the boundary, perhaps a bit of tiredness for Khawaja? Is there a better square driver in Test cricket than Moeen Ali? If there is, please show me.
Australia have looked seriously ragged in the field in this session.
They've dropped three catches and now Usman Khawaja attempts a sliding stop but flicks the ball over his body and into the boundary.
Poor stuff.
How costly could this prove for Alex Carey and Australia?
Shot!
That's more fluid from Harry Brook as he drives through the covers.
He's up to 13 now.

Pat Cummins is a superb bowler. Watching him live you can really appreciate his run up and action, it's very smooth.
Tahir at the Oval
Moeen Ali plays out a maiden to Pat Cummins.
That is Cummins' first maiden since his second over in the third Test at Headingley. He'd bowled 59 overs since.
