Warwickshire 170-8
Michael Burgess hoists another high one - but this one falls safe.
Kent 63-5 v Notts - target 168
105 needed. 18 overs left. But with five wickets standing and Asitha Fernando in dangerous form it's safety first for Kent.
You feel that they went out too aggressively, almost as if they were trying to do it in 15 overs not 32.
Will they live to rue their decisions?
Warwickshire 169-8 (chasing 176 to beat Northants)
Michael Burgess tries to go big again, skies it and Jack White drops it, coming over his own left shoulder.
Seven to win.
Tough chance. Especially in these pressurised circumstances. But White looks gutted.
Warwickshire 168-8 (chasing 176 to beat Northants)
Michael Burgess goes big.
And Jack White is despatched several rows into the Hollies.
Another six!
Warwickshire 162-8 (chasing 176 to beat Northants)
Edged four to the boundary as Oliver Hannon-Dalby's attempted sweep off Rob Keogh is generously rewarded.
14 to win.
Kent 59-5 v Notts - target 168
Five down! Fernando angles a yorker into Harry Finch and it somehow gets through his defences and sends leg stump cartwheeling. Inside edge maybe? Doesn't matter.
Kent are five down. Joey Evison joins Ben Compton in the middle. Two former Notts players trying to thwart their old side.
Are Notts favourites now with 20 overs-odd remaining?
Lancs 413 v Middx 194 & 160-3
Luke Wells drifts down leg. Jack Davies steers the ball safely past leg slip and down to the fine leg boundary for four.
A single off the third ball.
Stevie Eskinazi sees out the over and we have handshakes all round.
Match drawn.
Dane Vilas is applauded on his way off the field on his last day as a Lancashire player.
A picture of Vilas appears on the scoreboard with a "Thank You" underneath it.
A case of nearly but not quite for the Red Rose county, who batted with great enterprise to get to 413 thanks to a fine century from Vilas on day three and a counterattacking 91 from George Bell today.
Middlesex were in trouble after the the loss of Sam Robson in the fifth over and looked in danger at 71-3.
Jack Davies (65 not out) and Stevie Eskinazi (26 not out) rescued the innings in a determined stand of 89 in 39 overs.
The results at Edgbaston and Canterbury are not yet certain, but Middlesex have earned a vital draw and a chance to stay in the first division.
Their final two games are at home to a struggling Warwickshire and away to Notts at Trent Bridge.
Kent 59-4 v Notts - target 168
15 straight dot balls for Kent but Harry Finch picks up a single off Dane Paterson and Ben Compton then glances a loose leg-side delivery to the fine leg rope for four.
109 required from 20 overs... but will they take any risks?
Warwickshire 156-8 (chasing 176 to beat Northants)
SIX!!!
Michael Burgess just clears the rope (and the fielder) on the legside boundary from Jack White
20 to win.
For the first time today, we hear a cry of "Youuuu Beaeeeaaaarrrrssss"
Clearly the natives are beginning to feel a bit more comfortable.
Kent 54-4 v Notts - target 168
Whisper it but it feels like Kent's enthusiasm for the chase departed with Tawanda Muyeye.
Are they seeking to have what they hold?
Plenty of blocking from Ben Compton and Harry Finch even though the required rate is still under 5.5 an over.
Lancs 413 v Middx 194 & 155-3
Stevie Eskinazi gets a bit of width from Luke Wells, bowling a very full length - and the batter drives through cover for four runs.
One more run for Jack Davies off the fourth ball.
Eskinazi has four close catchers for company and defends down the ground.
Kent 52-4 v Notts - target 168
All three results possible going into the final hour of the final day of the match.
Ahh the County Championship...
Are you not entertained?
Lancs 413 v Middx 194 & 150-3
Stevie Eskinazi is forward to Tom Hartley, clipping the ball in front of square for one to bring up the Middlesex 150 in the 64th over.
We have 16 overs left tonight and a draw is the most likely result here.
The innings deficit is 69.
Warwickshire 147-8 (chasing 176 to beat Northants)
A minimum of 16 overs to come.
29 runs needed by Warwickshire.
Two wickets needed by Northamptonshire.
23 out on so far by half-centurion Michael Burgess and the ever reliable OHD, who has lasted 25 balls for his 5.
Kent 52-4 v Notts - target 168
116 needed from just under 24 overs but four down now and it's very quiet in Canterbury. Kent look very panicky.
Tom Moores takes off to snag a high catch as Tawanda Muyeye glances behind attempting a pull shot on the swivel.
Ben Compton is finally in the middle, joining Harry Finch.
Are Kent worried about losing this now?
Glos 377 & 208-6 dec v Derbys 403
Graeme van Buuren defends Alex Thomson on the front foot.
He takes his gloves off after the 72nd over and the players are shaking hands.
Match drawn.
A seventh-wicket partnership of 77 ensured a stalemate after Derbyshire took 3-27 in the middle session of play.
All six wickets fell to the spin of Mark Watt and Alex Thomson.
Van Buuren is unbeaten on 48.
Ed Middleton completes a respectable debut for Gloucestershire with a vital 39 not out and 1-59 off 19 overs of leg spin.
That ends a disappointing season for Gloucestershire at Bristol, where they did not win a game this season.
Their last game of the season is away to Sussex at Hove.
A hard-fought draw nonetheless.
Warwickshire 144-8
Michael Burgess completes his 50 wirg a single to midwicket. Off 93 balls.
Fourth of the season.
Followed by a scrambled single for OHD, who is on 5, from 18 deliveries.
Every run being clapped now as the Bears home in on victory.
32 more needed.
Glamorgan (273 & 401-5, 8 pts) draw with Yorkshire (500, 13 pts)
Hands are shaken at Sophia Gardens.
Sam Northeast finishes on an unbeaten 166 - his biggest score since that humungous record book-rewriting knock at Leicester last summer.
Lancs 413 v Middx 194 & 144-3
Luke Wells bowls full and wide, inviting Jack Davies forward and across to drive the ball through cover for four runs.
Lancashire's chances of forcing a result are fading here.
Red Rose captain Keaton Jennings brings Luke Wood back into the attack for what may be his final spell of the game.
He bounces Eskinazi with his fourth ball and the Middlesex number five sways out of the way.
The next ball is nudged away to fine leg for four runs.
Kent 42-3 v Notts - target 168
Classic cover drive from Jack Leaning races all the way to rope but he's run out in a mix-up with Tawanda Muyeye to start the next over.
Those two also had a calamitous run-out in Kent's defeat to Surrey.
Muyeye drove towards mid-off where Matt Montgomery made a fine stop and threw into the non-striker's end. Leaning was almost in the opposite crease but Muyeye had not set off and Calvin Harrison was able to dive in and whip off the bails.
Disaster for Kent.
Harry Finch is the new batter.
