England still have the likes of Sophia Dunkley and the little bit more aggressive Danni Wyatt too come. They will have to pick their moment and really put the pressure on to Australia.

This has arguably been the shot of the day so far. A classical drive down the ground from Tammy Beaumont.

The Cricketer's James Coyne: Ellyse Perry said on Thursday that at every women's Test match the game has taken a giant leap. Certainly the scoring rate so far suggests that batting has. Famous last words but this could be carnage today.

Kim Garth is wicket-to-wicket with Alyssa Healy stood up as she toils to keep England's run rate - currently at 4.11 per over - in check.

Just two singles from the over. Nat Sciver-Brunt has moved on to 69 not out while Tammy Beaumont is unbeaten on 120.

    Australia's lead is now 207.

Nat Sciver-Brunt is one of the best players off the back foot!

The sun is out at Trent Bridge and Nat Sciver-Brunt is making hay.

She takes Annabel Sutherland for three consecutive boundaries - the pick of them is a deft opening of the face, on the back foot, through point.

    England going along serenely now.

I'm not even worried about so-called 'commentator's curse' here.

It genuinely looks like these two could bat until stumps.

Some movement through the air for Kim Garth.

She swings her third ball away from the edge of Nat Sciver-Brunt's bat and Alyssa Healy, stood up at the stumps,

The next ball tails in to Sciver-Brunt and she does well to keep it out.

From what I have seen of the Test so far there has been disappointing bowling but it has been made to look like that because of how good the batting is.

The Australian bowlers haven't been too bad but England's batting has been superb, they started where they left off yesterday.

England continue to nibble away at Australia's first-innings total with a single apiece for Nat Sciver-Brunt and Tammy Beaumont.

There hasn't appeared to be too much in the pitch for the seamers this morning. Spin, you sense, will be key for Australia in the rest of this innings and perhaps more pertinently in England's second innings (assuming they need to bat again, of course!).

Nat Sciver-Brunt has had a couple of lucky escapes this morning. She overturned an lbw decision first ball then saw her first boundary of the day fly just over the Australian slip cordon.

Nat Sciver-Brunt brings up her half-century with a boundary as she works it crisply through the point region for four.

It's her third Test fifty and has come off 70 balls.

There's barely much of acknowledgement to the crowd. She has concentration etched across her face.

Darcie Brown always gets the ball to swing, she has been getting movement. Kim Garth is known as someone who can extract some too but they are struggling a little this morning.

Kim Garth a little bit tighter after that punishing over from Darcie Brown. Nat Sciver Brunt and Tammy Beaumont happy to work her into the gaps.

Nat Sciver-Brunt on to 49 and takes a single of the last ball of the over to keep the strike.

Having a five-day Test for this means that the players can bat properly rather than having to rush. What a great Test so far. Here's to a mammoth innings from England today!
