If they survive the overs, you'd think India will score the runs.

India get some respite now. They need a lot of runs and will need to bat well and for a long time.
Pat Cummins sprinted off the pitch like a man on a mission.
And with that Australia declare.
India will need 444 runs to win the World Test Championship.

Slashed high into the sky by Pat Cummins.
Here's how Mitchell Starc's innings ended...
Andy Zaltzman
Cricket statistician on Test Match Special
It will be a record chase for India but they will only have to go at around three an over with the amount of time that is left.
So maybe Pat Cummins is just thinking about making it as much of a challenge for them as he can and make them go for it a bit more.
Oh and now they're taking a drinks break.
It seemed like everyone forgot initially.

I wonder if Cummins has told Alex Carey that he's got half an hour or so to try and get his century.
Stephan Shemilt
BBC Sport chief cricket writer at The Oval
For various reasons, the crowd around me is starting to get frustrated. They want to see India bat.
Lead by 442
Alex Carey charges one from Siraj, a suggestion the attack is coming.
One worry is if Australia bat for another 20 minutes or so, to leave India 30 minutes before tea, Carey could be on the brink of a century. Would they then have to wait on for him to get there?
Pat Cummins ends the over by smacking one over mid-off.
Jonathan Agnew
BBC cricket correspondent on Test Match Special
You'd think surely that's enough. Cummins hasn't had enough yet.
Yes, he does! Pat Cummins is coming out to bat with the lead at 433.

Edged and gone. That's a straightforward end for Mitchell Starc,
Now, Pat... do you want more?
Jonathan Agnew
BBC cricket correspondent on Test Match Special
It feels like it is more than enough but captains are notoriously careful about when they do declare.
Pat Cummins is back, still wearing his pads which suggests he's not going to declare imminently. Nathan Lyon has a batting arm guard on too.
Left-hander Starc follows that crunching boundary with another four on the cut.
Deep Dasgupta
Former India wicketkeeper on Test Match Special
That is a glorious shot, he was in position early and off the front foot.
Smashed for four! Mitchell Starc has middled that one.

Curry Cafe within the Newlands ground, Cape Town. Ate there every day during the fantastic 2020 South Africa vs England Test. Curry was almost as good as the cricket!

Movement on the Australia balcony. Pat Cummins has just disappeared inside the dressing room.

Mohammed Siraj shares the new ball and makes an expensive return to the attack. It's not really from Australian aggression, more frustration, as the seamer bangs the ball halfway in and over the keeper for five wides.
India will now need a world-record score to win, no matter how many more Australia add.
