The pressure is on Australia because they are in the better position now and England have fought themselves back into the game more times than they like and Australia wouldn't want to lose this Test match.

We have to see Danni Wyatt play shots tomorrow, she can't go into her shell. We're in for a belter no matter what happens.

Ten wickets in a Test match, Sophie Ecclestone has done something so special. You have to believe that you can do something positive and exciting.

England's bowler Sophie Ecclestone speaking to BBC Test Match Special: "The hard work has come off. I was ready for a sit down after that last wicket.

"We missed an opportunity last night but we were happy to bat. The England team are all smiling and we're buzzing for tomorrow. The five wickets are a blow but that's Test cricket for you. It changes so fast.

"We just wanted to go really hard to them this morning. Dunks and Tammy gave it all this morning.

"I feel alright, I'm ready to go again. I can't wait to bat. I hope Crossy gets 50.

"You can't go back and change it so you have to deal with what you've got. We're going for the win. It's either win or lose tomorrow. Get down and support the girls."

Sophie Ecclestone, speaking to Sky Sports, said: "We have to believe we can win tomorrow. I am backing our team all the way. I think if I hit the winning runs that will top it off! We need Kate Cross and Danni Wyatt to keep batting.

"I think it's mad how things change in Test cricket, they change so quickly. Hopefully we can put Australia under pressure and go at them. It did a lot more for me today off the pitch. Ash Gardner bowled really well and when the bad ball is there we have to put it away."

On second-innings figures of 5-63: "I varied my pace a bit more, especially the one that got Beth Mooney. We wanted to go hard at them today after yesterday. To the left handers I bowled a little bit wider, with attacking fields and thankfully it paid off in the end."

Australia's batter Beth Mooney speaking to BBC Sport: "I'm pretty happy, we saw the new ball was nice to hit off the square. We're happy with the five wickets that and hopefully we can get some tomorrow morning.

On England playing positive cricket: "That's the brand of cricket they play, taking the game on, we knew that coming into this series that there were going to be ebbs and flows in the game but I think credit has to go to our bowlers. I thought Ash and Kimmy did an exceptional job.

"It's 268 more than England had going into their second innings so we thought that was enough. We were probably a little bit disappointed with the way our last few wickets fell after tea, but that wicket is tough to bat on. Hopefully we have the bowling line up that can do the job for us.

On Alana King: "Yeh I think she will be icing her elbow for the rest of the night so hopefully we'll see her in tandem with Ash tomorrow morning taking wickets.

On Ash Gardner: "Ash has been amazing, her off-spin bowling has been great. She's an absolute game changer for us and it's really nice to see her reaping the rewards for the hard work she has been putting in for years.

On Sophie Ecclestone: "She's a class player, we know coming into this series she's a big game player for them and she wants to stamp her authority and unfortunately she got the better of us of there but that's the class. We'll go back to the drawing board for the white ball format and get on top of her in those games.

"Five days in England where the weather can have impact on the game is critical."

I still think the game is in the balance. We've seen Kate Cross do something special with the ball. Maybe she can produce something with the bat too?

England will be disappointed, there were some soft dismissals. When you're chasing a total it's going to be tough but that Nat Sciver-Brunt sweep shot, was it needed? Probably not. Get yourself in first maybe?

Tammy Beaumont will be disappointed with how she got out, what Ash Gardner has shown is bowling tight to the stumps has had an impact.

  14. Postpublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 25 June 2023

Australia spinner Ash Gardner, who has 3-33 in the second innings, told Sky Sports: "We probably didn't bat to our full potential in our second innings but you have seen in this final innings how hard it is to bat. Some are spinning and some are rolling.

"We spoke at tea how crucial those runs were from Alyssa Healy and it was a monkey off her back. She led from the front and took it into her keeping as well."

On the ball to dismiss Tammy Beaumont in the second innings and hopes for the final day: "It was a lucky ball to get Tammy, she made 200 yesterday so I'll take that. Bowling in partnerships was just as important to put pressure back on England because I'm sure they came out quite confident after bowling us out.

"You have to stay patient on a wicket like this, keep the sumps in play and it will happen. Balls will turn or cut off the seam. We have to go in confidence in the final day, and as a bowling unit we will go in believing we can take those five wickets."

Kate Cross was amazing today. She definitely reflected on yesterday and was terrific today. She did a great spell of bowling despite dislocating her thumb.

The fifty runs from Healy could prove to be match winning.

The emotions have been flipping and flopping. England have done a brilliant job to restrict that chase. They were going at six runs an over.

Kim Garth has been a bit like Sophie Ecclestone, Australia have showed tonight that they pulled together. It's not been a perfect Test for them they have been flat at times.

Australia will be the happier side going into the fifth day but with Kate Cross and Danni Wyatt still at the crease, it could still happen.

What a session! 119 runs and eight wickets.

England cleared up the Australia tail in the first three overs after tea and made an excellent start to their chase of a record 268. Emma Lamb and Tammy Beaumont were 55-0 after ten overs.

However Australia rattled through the England top-order after the break, taking four wickets in five overs. Sophia Dunkley and Danni Wyatt offered some resistance with a partnership of 37, but Dunkley fell just before the close.

  19. Eng 116-5published at 28 overs

Kate Cross faces up to the final over of the day from Kim Garth.

She blocks out the first four balls before unleashing a glorious flat cover drive through to the fence for four.

Garth finishes off by scudding a ball past Cross's off stump - she survives, just.
