It was a delivery, once it came off the seam, Litchfield got caught in her crease. Lauren Bell has been growing throughout this series. She's got the pace and bounce.

    Perfect response from Lauren Bell!

Much straight from the England seamer this time, Phoebe Litchfield is caught on the crease and the swing ensures the ball is not sliding down leg.

The umpire had no hesitation, Litchfield doesn't bother with a review and three reds on ball-tracking shows that was a good decision.

    Early breakthrough for England.

It just looked like the pace came out of that delivery when it pitched. Litchfield just delayed the shot, that looked right out along the middle of the bat, right across the carpet.

  4. Aus 7-0published at 1.2 overs

    Lovely shot from Phoebe Litchfield.

There's plenty of swing for Lauren Bell but Litchfield waits for it and glides the ball through the covers for four.

The first boundary of the day.

England have played two ODIs here at the Ageas Bowl and won both, two in two days against India in 2006. They have played Australia twice here in T20s, including in 2013 when they won the Ashes here.

  6. Aus 1-0published at 1 over

Very tidy over to start from Kate Cross, just that single first ball from it.

Phoebe Litchfield is tempted into a drive by a very full delivery but mistimes the shot and the ball trickles to mid-off.

Otherwise, it's pretty watchful stuff from the left-hander.

Both of these sides have taken on the risk of losing it in order to win it and I think both sides need to do that to try and win this series.

I think you always like to stick to a winning team. Finding your momentum, finding your way around. I like the team, I like the two spinners in Ecclestone and Glenn, especially here. Lauren Bell and Kate Cross haven't fired yet and I would like to see them have more control. If the wicket plays how they say it will here, they are right in it.

There looks to be a very good crowd in at the Ageas Bowl as the England fielders make their way onto the outfield.

They're followed by the two Australia openers. Kate Cross - a star with the bat in the last game - will open the bowling...

When something is on the line and right in front of you, there is more pressure. England will go into this game without the pressure on their shoulders, they have put a lot of pressure on to Australia. England could do something really special and get themselves into a winning position when it seemed so unlikely.

We had so much rain yesterday but it's finally stopped, there are some clouds overhead but I think we're set for an uninterrupted day.

We went for a walk out on the pitch during the warm-ups and we saw under-pressure Australia looking very relaxed with a game of rugby, while England had a huddle and a cheer for Sophia Dunkley's 25th birthday.

Naturally, England don't want to change a winning team but the consensus in the commentary box here is that Australia's swap from Brown to King is the right one.

Australia's spinners were pivotal in pinning England down at Bristol, while their seamers got pummelled.

I'm very happy with bowling first. I had a look at the ground myself, it looks like a good cricket wicket. It's meant to have pace and carry but traditionally, it's been quite slow here. Australia like a carry so that is good for England.

It's time to dare to dream.

Very few thought Heather Knight's England could get to this position - levelling the multi-format points-based Ashes series after Australia raced ahead with a 6-0 lead.

Knight and England were perhaps among the only ones who did believe.

The captain said her team would "fly" after overcoming the psychological hurdle of getting one win on the board against the world champions, which they did in the second T20 at The Oval.

But England are not just flying.

They are soaring, and in a fascinating twist, Australia are the ones succumbing to the pressure.

Australia captain Alyssa Healy: "We weren't fussed. Looks like a belter of a wicket so to get first use of it it with the bat, we'll take that.

"We've tried to park the first ODI and get on with the job. England have been must win for three games and played some great cricket and we haven't matched that at times. Series is on the line now, hopefully that brings the best out of us as it has over the last few years.

"We love playing in front of crowds of here, they support England but also really good cricket. Hopefully they give us some applause today.

"One change, Alana King is in for Darcie Brown."

England captain Heather Knight: "We are going to have a bowl. It is one of those that is probably a 50/50. It's worked for us and let's hope it's a pretty good wicket.

"I don't think Kate Cross slept for two nights after her innings. It is about enjoying the moment, it's another huge game for us.

"Just living in the moment, we've made a conscious effort as a team to try and work not too far ahead."
