I literally just had my hands in the air for a catch from the ball before. It is half-handily hit to Ecclestone at mid-on. I just think Ecclestone thought it wasn't there, but she found herself very close to it.

  2. dropped catch

    Aus 115-4

After so many dropped catches on Wednesday, England have put down another one.

Ashleigh Gardner tries to hit Alice Capsey over the top, doesn't get hold of it and Sophie Ecclestone has a chance at mid-on.

She only gets one hand to it. Definitely not a simple chance but one they'd still hope to be taken.

I was looking forward to us bowling in clusters with control, good line, good lengths. It felt like it was going to be the key for success.

  4. Aus 110-4published at 24 overs

Sarah Glenn is giving the ball plenty of air and really trying to tempt Ashleigh Gardner.

With Australia in a precarious position, the usually so-aggressive all-rounder shows plenty of restraint, though.

She cuts the first ball for two but it's five dot balls to end the over.

The spinners have stolen a couple of wickets in recent overs for England.

The first of them came with a filthy leg-side delivery from Sophie Ecclestone that Beth Mooney swept straight to short fine leg...

Chris Lowes: Tahlia McGrath is having an absolute shocker of a series.

  7. Aus 108-4published at 23 overs

It takes Alice Capsey a few balls to get going but she ends with over with a couple of good deliveries.

The middle overs are often crucial in ODIs and this game is no different.

  8. Aus 106-4published at 22.1 overs

More spin for England as Alice Capsey comes into the attack.

She starts with a drag-down, though, and Ellyse Perry whacks it away for four.

A very good over there from Sarah Glenn, the build of pressure from the previous over from Ecclestone, it is a good partnership. It's one for the leg-spinners today.

  10. Aus 102-4published at 22 overs

Crowd catch to end the over as new batter Ashleigh Gardner thumps the ball into the ground and back to Sarah Glenn.

A wicket maiden from the England leg-spinner. The hosts are in a good position now. Can they force home their advantage?

It's another steal. I think Glenn would call that a filthy drag down. We've had one at each end now but England will take them. A little bit of turn, the first bit of turn.

  12. wicket

    McGrath c Jones b Glenn 5 (Aus 102-4)

    Edged and gone!

It's another gift for England. Short from Sarah Glenn, Tahlia McGrath goes back to cut but a bit of extra bounce sees it take the edge.

Good take from Amy Jones and Australia are four down!

  13. 100 runs

    Aus 102-3published at 21 overs

    McGrath 5, Perry 40

The 100 comes up for Australia but it's another good over from Sophie Ecclestone, just three from it as Tahlia McGrath and Ellyse Perry try to build another partnership.

Australia were getting too settled. England needed that how ever it came. 3 out for under 100 is great, but pressure needs to stay.

  15. Aus 99-3published at 20 overs

With Sarah Glenn still trying to settle in and fine her rhythm, Ellyse Perry is able to rock back and hammer a long hop over mid-wicket for four.

A good stop at mid-wicket ends the over, it's a very strong hand - like a goalkeeper turning one around the post - but it wrong-foots the fielder at mid-on and turns a one into a two.

Bowling change for England and we're going to see more spin. Sarah Glenn is on to bowl her leggies...

The last half hour has been fabulous. It looks like a good wicket. We've seen some control and patience from England, they've created dots and daft shots and it is lovely.

That came from nowhere, we were saying how settled Australia looked.

  19. Aus 90-3published at 19 overs

Tahlia McGrath is the new batter and is tested straightaway by Sophie Ecclestone with a quicker ball fired in at the stumps.

Having dug that out, McGrath gets off the mark with a single before Ellyse Perry pushes through the covers for one more.

England will be thrilled to have broken that third-wicket partnership though.

She could have hit it anywhere but sweeps straight to the fielder. Ecclestone looks guility as though to say 'that's the worst ball I've ever bowled to get a wicket'.
