    Superb start from Kent.

It's not quite Abbott-esque but Pieter Malan is seeing it like a beachball for Middlesex... he has 80 from 44 balls with seven fours and four sixes. The visitors are 160-4 with three overs to come.

Ravi Bopara is trying to keep pace across at Hove, he has 63 from 39 with five sixes. Sussex are 141-6 but Somerset's MATT HENRY IS ON A HAT-TRICK...

He's ousted Michael Burgess and George Garton in successive deliveries...

... but Nathan McAndrew has negotiated the hat-trick ball. What a bonkers night of Blast this is turning into - and we're not even halfway through!

Sussex are 147-6 with 18 balls to come.

  9. North Group latestpublished at 20:03 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

An extraordinary windmill shot brings Ben Cox six off Matt Fisher over third man against Yorkshire Vikings at New Road.

Matthew Revis bowls the next and Cox is down the track to smash another maximum baseball-style over mid-on.

It's his last scoring stroke, though, as he holes out to Jordan Thompson at deep mid-wicket and goes for 26 - leaving the Rapids 130-5 in the 15th, chasing a target of 176.

  10. Abbott equals fastest T20 Blast tonpublished at 19:58 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

    Surrey 223-5 v Kent

Well that is a slice of history here at The Oval.

A 34-ball hundred from Sean Abbott, equalling the fastest T20 hundred in English domestic cricket.

His previous best was 41 but he's come out and blown Kent away.

Final numbers: 110 not out from 41 balls with four fours and 11 sixes!

    Kent are shellshocked.

Pieter Malan has bludgeoned his way to 65 at Hampshire with three sixes and six fours. The visitors are 141-3 with five overs still to come.

Ravi Bopara brought up his half-century with a six as Sussex have moved onto 131-4 with five overs remaining.

    Surrey 223-5 (20 overs) v Kent

Another swing and a miss outside off from Abbott.

Then he finds the gap wide of long-on but Joe Denly runs around well to cut it off and they take two.

Final ball squirts off an under-edge past the stumps and they charge back for three.

Kane Richardson with the final over.

A swing and miss first ball from Sean Abbott.

Then a short ball outside off called wide.

A leg side tuck brings a scrambled two with a dive.

And two more driven wide of long-on.

Jafer Chohan has taken his first T20 Blast wicket for Yorkshire, with Jack Haynes caught by Dom Bess for 32, to leave Worcestershire 101-4 after 12 overs, chasing 176 to win.

A final-over six for Harry Swindells helped Leicestershire reach 166-7 after their 20 against Birmingham Bears.

Liam Trevaskis dismissed Lewis McManus and Graeme White in the final over of the Northants innings against Durham and defending a total of 137 all out may be a tough one for the home attack.

Notts Outlaws need to score 179 to beat Derbyshire Falcons at Trent Bridge after the visitors added nine from the final over, bowled by Conor McKerr, to reach 178-6.

What a hundred from Sean Abbott!

    A 34 ball ton with 11 sixes!

He whacks Michael Hogan over extra-cover for six and then takes the next down the ground for a flat maximum to reach three figures!

    Incredible hitting.

He equals the fastest T20 hundred by Andrew Symonds for Kent in 2004.

  17. North Group latestpublished at 19:46 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

An important wicket for Yorkshire at New Road with Jordan Thompson taking a brilliant return catch to remove Adam Hose for 44, who hit a huge six off Jafer Chohan in the previous over. Worcestershire are 88-3, chasing 176 to win.

Rishi Patel has fallen to Craig Miles at the start of the final over and Leicestershire are 153-7 against Birmingham Bears.

Two successive fours by Graeme White have boosted the Northants total, but they are 130-8 with one over left against Durham.

Mattiw McKiernan has just hit a maximum off Shaheen Shah Afridi and Derbyshire are 169-6 in the 19th against Notts Outlaws.

    Surrey 194-5 (18 overs) v Kent

Joey Evison comes on with Kent in retrieval mode.

Five from four balls but then Sean Abbott goes swinging again and gets all of it over midwicket for a ninth sixth!

He skies the next but it's shelled at short-third man!

Oh dear what a miss from George Linde.

  19. Douthwaite finishes on a hat-trickpublished at 19:46 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

Sorry Ben... Charlesworth goes for 56 from 39 balls after miscuing Dan Douthwaite into the air allowing the bowler to sprint 15 yards to complete the catch. Douthwaite then gets Zafar Gohar caught in the deep for a two-ball duck.

He follows up by tempting Matt Taylor into holing out to sub Billy Root at mid-off. 149-8 from 19 overs.

Douthwaite takes three in the over and will be on a two-match hat-trick when Glamorgan next play.

  20. Abbott hits 30 off the overpublished at 19:42 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

    Surrey 182-5 (17 overs) v Kent

High ho! What an over from Sean Abbott against Kane Richardson.

Clears the front dog and heaves leg side to clear deep midwicket and steers past short-third man for four.

And then more big blows - a stand and deliver down the ground for six more and a flat four inside long-on.

    What hitting here.

A low full toss is punched past extra-cover for four and then another is whacked in the same region and is parried over the fence by long-off running round.

30 from the over. This is taking the game away from Kent.
