  1. for Nathan Sowterpublished at 19:40 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

Durham's Nathan Sowter has completed his first T20 five-for with the wicket of AJ Tye at Northampton.

Tye was caught behind off the inside edge for four - not really sure what shot he was trying to play - and the Steelbacks are 120-8 at the end of the 18th over.

Sowter's final figures are 5-15. Impressive stuff.

  2. 50 runs

for Ben Charlesworthpublished at 19:39 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

Charlesworth and Ollie Price hauled Gloucestershire back into this one against Glamorgan and despite Price departing Charlesworth moves to 52 from 37 balls with a boundary. Six fours and a six on the way. The hosts are 144-5 with two overs remaining. They were 49-4, remember.

  3. 50 runs

for Sean Abbottpublished at 19:37 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

    Surrey 152-5 (16 overs) v Kent

Oh yes great hitting from Sean Abbott.

George Linde drags one short and gets pulled away for six.

Then floats one up too full and gets slugged into the pavilion.

A third swing goes high and not very far but short of long-off running in.

A maiden T20 fifty for Abbott in only 22 balls, with a four and five sixes.

What a innings to revive Surrey.

  4. Mason Crane on a hat-trick...published at 19:33 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

Sorry Steve... Eskinazi was bowled through the gate by Mason Crane to end the seventh over at Hampshire after taking 31 from 18 balls. Crane then has Max Holden caught by James Fuller to start his next over.... two in two deliveries....

... but Ryan Higgins negotiates the hat-trick ball....

Middlesex are now 75-3 from nine overs.

  5. North Group latestpublished at 19:31 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

Worcestershire are now up and running in their run-chase and three Adam Hose boundaries in Jordan Thompson's opening over takes them to 47-2 after six, chasing 176 against Yorkshire.

Chris Woakes is back on for his final two overs for Birmingham Bears, with Leicestershire 121-5 in the 17th over.

Nathan Sowter now has 3-10 for Durham, having just had Tom Taylor lbw, and Northants are 109-6 in the 16th against Durham. Make that 4-10 - Rob Keogh went two balls later in similar fashion.

Derbyshire are 142-4 in the 16th against Notts Outlaws - Leus du Plooy was the last batter to go, bowled by Matt Carter for nine.

    Surrey 133-5 (15 overs) v Kent

    Grant Stewart's final over.

Back of a length and Jordan Clark tries to pull and gets a glove past the keeper and fine for four.

Then drops short and Sean Abbott pulls high and long into the Bedser Stand for six.

    Stewart finishes with 1-29.

  7. Postpublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

    Surrey 118-5 (14 overs) v Kent

Joe Denners getting a second roll.

Sean Abbott reverse sweeps and bisects backward point and short-third man for four.

Then a couple of twos dabbing into leg side gaps.

Before a big heave over midwicket all the way for six!

Big over for Surrey and one too many for Denly perhaps?

  8. South Group updatepublished at 19:27 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

Ollie Price slices Jamie McIlroy high into the Bristol sky and has to depart for 37 when Kiran Carlson pouched it after a long wait. McIlroy has 3-17. Gloucestershire are 104-5 from 14 overs against Glamorgan.

Ali Orr and Ravi Bopara are leading the Sussex charge against Somerset, showing Peter Siddle and Craig Overton absolutely no respect whatsoever with a flurry of boundaries. 66-2 off six overs.

Stephen Eskinazi and Pieter Malan are giving Middlesex a great platform at Hampshire, they are 66-1 in the seventh.

David Wiese's opening two overs have cost just six runs and Worcestershire are 20-2 after four, chasing 176 to beat Yorkshire.

Leicestershire have lost Colin Ackermann for 27, Danny Briggs' second victim, and they are 103-4 in the 14th over against Birmingham Bears.

  12. wicket

WICKET Smith c Leaning b Hogan 17published at 19:21 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

    Surrey 94-5 (12.3 overs) v Kent

But it's clearly carried to Jack Leaning in the deep and Jamie Smith now goes.

He'd swung the previous ball over deep midwicket for six but drives the next to Leaning.

Good catch running in and Kent chip another away.

  13. Umpire reviewpublished at 19:19 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

The umpires need to check a catch at deep point.

  14. Postpublished at 19:17 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

    Surrey 87-4 (12 overs) v Kent

Third over now for Boy George Lindle.

Sean Abbott pulls wide of long-on for two.

But both batsmen struggling to get the left-arm spin away again and another cheap set, five from.

Craig Overton celebrates wicketImage source, Getty Images

After giving up two fours to Tom Clark in the opening over, Somerset paceman Craig Overton got Clark to mistime one to Lewis Gregory from just the fifth delivery. Overton then picks up the scalp of Tom Alsop two overs later and Sussex are 30-2 after three overs.

By the way there are six Toms on the team sheet tonight, four of them for the visitors… perhaps we should rename them Tomerset?

Across at Southampton, Middlesex opener Joe Cracknell has been pinned early by Hampshire fast bowler Nathan Ellis. They are 24-1 after three overs.

Ollie Price (37*) and Ben Charlesworth have steered Gloucestershire back to 87-4 from 12 overs against Glamorgan at Bristol.

  16. 50 runs

for Ricardo Vasconcelospublished at 19:16 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

Ricardo Vasconcelos may be averaging only 19 in the County Championship but he's doing the job for Northants Steelbacks this evening.

A well-executed ramp shot off Bas de Leede takes him to 49 not out against Durham and although he is dropped at backward point next ball, one run brings him 50 from 39 balls.

Northants are 96-3 off 13 overs.

  17. 50 runs

for Luis Reecepublished at 19:13 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

Derbyshire Falcons are really enjoying themselves at Trent Bridge and Luis Reece followed partner Wayne Madsen to 50 with a six over mid-wicket from the bowling of Steven Mullaney.

It took him just 30 balls but Madsen has now gone, caught at cover in the same Mullaney over for 61 from 31, following a stand of 112 - they are 118-2 at the start of the 12th over.

    Surrey 82-4 (11 overs) v Kent

Oh yes the fella who took the crowd catch has won £1,000!

Plucked it out one handed, threw it back and sat back down. Superb.

Just five from Grant Stewart's third over.

  19. North Group latestpublished at 19:11 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

Worcestershire have lost two early wickets in their bid to score 176 to beat Yorkshire at New Road.

Brett D'Oliveira was caught at backward square leg off David Wiese and Michael Bracewell has just been removed by Matt Fisher to leave the Rapids 8-2 in the third over.

Northants Steelbacks were 59-3 at the halfway stage against Durham, but they added 14 from the next over, including a six for Ricardo Vasconcelos (33 not out).

Danny Briggs has bowled Arron Lilley for 17 and Leicestershire are 86-3 in the 11th over against Birmingham Bears.

  20. Postpublished at 19:10 British Summer Time 26 May 2023

    Surrey 77-4 (10 overs) v Kent

George Linde is back and Surrey are having to rebuild.

Until Sean Abbott bangs the last ball of the over into the pavilion!

    Casual catch in the crowd.

Work to do in this second half for the hosts but 160 might be a good score on this deck.
