Surrey 67-4 (9 overs) v Kent
Kent have got some real control now.
Outstanding over from Grant Stewart, a wicket and just four runs.
North Group update
He'll be 40 in January but Wayne Madsen's skill and enthusiasm for the game is undiminished.
He started the T20 campaign with 50 in Derbyshire's first game and has now reached another off 26 balls against Notts Outlaws at Trent Bridge.
The Falcons are 98-1 after nine overs and Madsen and Luis Reece have so far added 92.
Surrey 64-4 (8.2 overs) v Kent
Ooo another one for Kent.
Sam Curran drives at Grant Stewart but in the air and it carries low to mid-off.
Good catch from Joey Evison down low.
Kent on top now?
Ollie Price and Jack Taylor steadied the ship for Gloucestershire but, shortly after clubbing Timm van der Gugten for a mighty straight six, Taylor top-edges to Sam Northeast off Dan Douthwaite for 16. The hosts are 57-4 from eight overs having been bowled out for 113 by Kent on Wednesday.
Sussex have just begun their innings against Somerset at Hove while Middlesex are batting against Hampshire at Southampton.
Surrey 63-3 (8 overs) v Kent
Jamie Smith is the new man and is away with a couple to deep midwicket.
Surrey may well have to just knock it around for a bit here.
Surrey 60-3 (7.3 overs) v Kent
Yes he is!
Tom Curran drives to mid-off and it's always going to be tight.
But it's no contest with a superb piece of work from Jordan Cox.
He charges in, gathers and throws down the non-striker's stumps.
Curran well short even with a dive.
He doesn't even wait for the third umpire.
Surrey 59-2 (6 overs) v Kent
Grant Stewart is introduced.
And he just gets worked around for a two and four singles.
Not much fire here so far on a slightly sticky surface.
Maybe a good toss to have won.
Surrey 53-2 (6 overs) v Kent
Final over of the powerplay and Kane Richardson again.
Sam Curran swings outside off and gets a thin edge inside short-third man for four.
But otherwise another tidy set bowling into the wicket and the powerplay pretty even.
Not exactly flying through this pitch and timing tricky.
Yorkshire Vikings have mustered 175-9 against Worcestershire Rapids at New Road where two wickets fell in the final over of their innings - including Matthew Revis, who was run out for 42 from 31 balls following a mix-up with Dom Bess.
Josh Cobb is 17 not out from eight balls with Northants Steelbacks recovering from those two early Bas de Leede wickets to reach 33-2 after five against Durham.
Nick Welch has just hit a six off Henry Brookes and Leicestershire Foxes are 49-0 in the fifth over against Birmingham Bears, while Derbyshire Falcons are 34-1 after four against Notts Outlaws, with Wayne Madsen on 20 after three successive fours off Matt Carter.
Surrey 44-2 (5 overs) v Kent
Jack Leaning on for some off spin.
But his first two balls are much too short to Tom Curran and he cuts both through cover for four.
Then a dot, then another attempted cut that chips into the covers and almost finds the fielder diving forward. Just short.
But only a single from the final four balls. Good comeback.
Surrey 35-2 (4 overs) v Kent
Tom Curran at four again so the Curran brothers out there in tandem.
But it's Sam who plays a gorgeous on drive for four as Kane Richardson overpitches.
Two dots to end the over and this is a decent start from Kent.
Gloucestershire are seeking to bounce back from a hammering in their opening game but have made a nightmare start against seasonal-debutants Glamorgan at Bristol.
Chris Dent had picked up where he left off in Wednesday’s defeat at Kent by helping himself to 10 off the first three balls of the second over from Jamie McIlroy.
However the Glamorgan seamer got Dent to mistime one to Colin Ingram at mid-off for 11 and, two balls later, Grant Roelofsen (7) edged Timm Van der Gugten to keeper Chris Cooke.
Five deliveries after that McIlroy trapped Miles Hammond lbw for no score to leave the hosts 18-3 in the fourth over.
Two more South Group games - Hampshire v Middlesex and Sussex v Somerset - get under way at 19:00 BST.
Surrey 30-2 (3.2 overs) v Kent
Here's Australian Kane Richardson.
Laurie Evans tries to take him from outside off over the leg side but flicks pretty much straight to deep square!
Simple catch and both openers now gone cheaply.
Surrey 30-1 (3 overs) v Kent
Captain Sam Curran out at three again and off the mark with a drive to long-off.
Laurie Evans then slog sweeps from outside off and gets it all the way over deep-backward square for six.
Surrey 22-1 (2.3 overs) v Kent
George Linde, the South African left-arm spinner, takes over from Joe Denly.
Will Jacks shuffles a little leg side and drives way back over long-off for six. Superb timing.
But then goes back to cut and slices it to short-third man!
Big early blow for Kent.
Great start by Bas de Leede, who marked his T20 debut for Durham by bowling Aussie Chris Lynn for a duck with his third delivery of the game - and it was a wicket maiden.
It's just got even better for the Dutchman, with Northants Steelbacks skipper David Willey caught behind for one at the start of his second over.
Northants are 2-2.
Surrey 14-0 (2 overs) v Kent
41-year-old Michael Hogan opens at the Pavilion End.
Just a hint of swing and an edge from Laurie Evans would have presented a catch to the cordon but no catchers in place.
Just five singles from five balls then a flick for two from Evans to finish the over.
Surrey 7-0 (1 over) v Kent
A leg bye opens Surrey's account.
Laurie Evans opening with Will Jacks tonight after Sunil Narine was sent out yesterday.
Jacks tries to swing Joe Denly over the leg side and gets a huge top edge that brings a chance to Grant Stewart running around at short-fine leg.
But he can't lay a glove on it! How big a miss will that be?
Then a big lbw appeal as Evans sweeps and misses but it's going down.
Lively first over.
Three overs to go in the Yorkshire Vikings innings against Worcestershire Rapids and they are now 137-5.
The dangerous David Wiese has just struck a magnificent six over mid-off from the bowling of Adam Finch and is 11 not out, with Matthew Revis on 26 at the other end.
Surrey 0-0 v Kent
Today is Kent Day, the feast of Saint Augustine (the first Archbishop of Canterbury) - a day to celebrate everything about the Garden of England.
An important occasion for Men of Kent and Kentish Men everywhere (and women of course).
Can the county's cricketers round off the day in style?
Joe Denly has the new ball for them at the Vauxhall End and Will Jacks is facing the first ball for Surrey.
