  1. Postpublished at 19:33 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Derbys 72-1 v Birmingham

Derbyshire's Pakistan international Haider Ali was looking a bit scratchy, but he's just perked up by hammering Jake Lintott over the fence.

Overall, the Bears' slower bowlers have done well to keep Haider and Wayne Madsen fairly restrained as they reach the halfway point of the innings.

  2. Surrey in strifepublished at 19:32 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Gloucs v Surrey 79-6

Sunil Narine doesn't fancy a short ball from Danny Lamb and turns his head away as he edges through to keeper James Bracey and goes for seven.

There's a single for Chris Jordan but that's the end of the 11th over and Gloucestershire will certainly be the happier of the two sides at the moment.

    Death. Taxes. Yes, yes....

James Vince picks-off Matt Critchley for a six and four to reach his half-century and then wallops the first ball he's seen from Simon Harmer for six.

Vince v Harmer. Friday night. Under the lights. Are you not entertained?

  4. wicket

WICKET Ahmed c and b Willey 16published at 19:30 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Northants v Leics 113-6

Another Leicestershire wicket as Rehan Ahmed is caught and bowled by David Willey. New batter Callum Parkinson opens his account with four, but there are only five more overs to be bowled in the innings.

  5. Postpublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Glamorgan v Kent 130-4

Five overs to go. Kent have stalled, it's fair to say, after losing three wickets for the addition of just 10 runs.

Jordan Cox has 23 from 21 with Jack Leaning on nine at the other end. Can they get up towards the 175 which looked nailed-on earlier?

  6. 50 runs

partnership for Worcestershirepublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Notts v Worcs 178-4

Adam Hose hits Steven Mullaney straight for six as he and Jack Haynes bring up a half-century partnership from just 24 balls.

Haynes is gone now, though, caught off the final ball of Mullaney's over for 42. Five more to come.

  7. Postpublished at 19:25 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Essex v Hampshire 50-1

James Vince's Hawks have reached 50-1 at Chelmsford. The main man himself has launched Paul Walter over the ropes and cracked Sam Cook to the fence to reach 41 from 20 deliveries.

  8. Postpublished at 19:24 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Northants v Leics 103-5

Louis Kimber goes at Wantage Road, bowled by the final ball of an AJ Tye over for 41 off 27 balls.

England's Rehan Ahmed has now been joined by Harry Swindells.

  9. wicket

WICKET Croft b Sowter 34published at 19:23 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Durham v Lancashire 113-4.

Jaffa from Nathan Sowter. Steven Croft charges him but plays all around it and turns round to find his stumps everywhere. Croft goes for 34 off 30.

Daryl Mitchell remains ominously on 21 from 12 and is joined by Tom Hartley.

  10. Rapids on course for 200 pluspublished at 19:22 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Notts v Worcs 154-3

Worcestershire still have their foot firmly on the accelerator and that is a big hit by Jack Haynes, who slogs a ball from Samit Patel from outside off stump for six over mid-wicket. He is 32 not out and there are seven overs left in the innings.

  11. Postpublished at 19:22 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Derbys 43-1 v Birmingham

The in-form Wayne Madsen is at the crease for Derbyshire, chopping his first ball from Henry Brookes to the boundary.

Luis Reece was the man to go for 14, with Brookes taking the wicket and the Falcons are 43-1 after the powerplay.

  12. Postpublished at 19:20 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Gloucs v Surrey 63-5

It's not been Surrey's night so far and Jordan Clark becomes the latest batter dismissed as he slices a catch to Grant Roelofsen at long-off.

Tom Smith now has 2-18 from two overs and eight are gone as Sunil Narine comes out to bat.

  13. Middlesex struggling againpublished at 19:20 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Somerset v Middlesex 80-6

    Max HoldenImage source, Getty Images

It's not hard to see why Somerset have a 100% record and Middlesex are yet to win.

Wickets have been tumbling at Taunton, with Lewis Gregory and Ben Green both striking in recent overs - and Middlesex's biggest challenge is to actually bat out their full allocation. Seven of the 20 remaining...

  14. Postpublished at 19:19 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Northants v Leics 94-4

Louis Kimber is looking like Leicestershire's best hope of posting a defendable total. He picks up a boundary in Tom Taylor's second over and is 38 not out from 24 balls with 12 gone.

  15. Postpublished at 19:18 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Essex v Hampshire 30-1

Daniel Sams celebrates wicketImage source, Rex Features

Ben McDermott has gone for one, caught behind off Daniel Sams, but James Vince is doing James Vince things... 28 off 13 balls. Adding a couple more fours to his opening over fireworks.

  16. Postpublished at 19:16 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Gloucs v Surrey 61-4

Excellent over by spinner Zafar Gohar, just three singles from it. Seven overs gone for Surrey with Jordan Clark 24 not out and Jamie Smith on seven.

Still a big rebuilding job needed by the visitors.

  17. wicket

WICKET Muyeye c Northeast b Sisodiya 62published at 19:15 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Glamorgan v Kent 103-4

Another. Two in the over for the spinner Prem Sisodiya. Muyeye picks out Sam Northeast at backward point for a fine 62 from 38.

Jordan Cox and Jack Leaning are the new pair, seeking to build on this solid foundation with nine overs to go.

  18. Notts fighting backpublished at 19:14 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Notts v Worcs 125-3

The Notts fightback continues as Mitch Santner gives an easy return catch to Steven Mullaney and departs for six in the 11th over.

Jack Haynes is 14 not out and has now been joined by the dangerous Adam Hose.

  19. wicket

WICKET Billings c Douthwaite b Sisodiya 1published at 19:13 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Glamorgan v Kent 98-3

Sam Billings tries to pull Prem Sisodiya into the leg side but skies it completely allowing Dan Douthwaite to take a sprinting, tumbling catch.

  20. Postpublished at 19:13 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Derbys 31-0 v Birmingham

Good start for the Falcons against the North Group leaders, looking to build on their first win of the campaign against Leicestershire last night.

Luis Reece has just pumped Glenn Maxwell over long-on for a maximum and he and Haider Ali have 14 apiece after four overs.
