    Northants v Leics 36-2

Northants skipper David Willey is smashed over mid-on for four by Lewis Hill. The Leicestershire batter tries another big shot next ball and this one flies away off the edge to third man for another boundary.

Worse is to come for Willey as a top-edged pull flies away and this time beyond the rope for the game's first maximum.

Four gone and Hill has 27 from 14 balls - but now Rishi Patel is gone, caught at mid-on for five at the start of a new Ben Sanderson over.

    Glamorgan v Kent 44-0

Five overs gone and the Kent openers look in good nick, once again. Tawanda Muyeye has 27 from 17 balls while Daniel Bell-Drummond has 16 from 12.

Muyeye has already showed his immense class with a gloriously timed straight six off Glam debutant Zain ul Hassan.

WICKET Malan b Davey 8published at 18:45 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Somerset v Middlesex 14-2

Josh Davey is enjoying himself - he's picked up both the Middlesex wickets to fall so far and South Africa batter Pieter Malan is on his way, bowled after having a big swing and missing.

Certainly looking like Tom Abell made the right call to bowl so far...

  4. Postpublished at 18:44 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Northants v Leics 19-1

Lewis Hill tries to come down the track to Ben Sanderson but the Northants seamer him coming and bangs it in short. Hill has time to adjust, though, and steers it away over the keeper for four. Three overs gone.

    Notts v Worcs 33-0

The boundaries keep coming for Brett D'Oliveira, who thrashes Conor McKerr back over his head as the paceman's opening over costs 10.

The Rapids opener is now 26 not out from 10 faced.

WICKET Buttler c Jones b de Leede 11published at 18:40 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Durham v Lancashire 27-1

Jos Buttler has holed-out for a run-a-ball 11, mistiming Bas de Leede to Michael Jones at mid-on.

Bright start for the visitors is tarnished, temporarily at least.

Steven Croft comes in to join Phil Salt who has a strike rate of 300!

    Gloucs v Surrey 0-0

Gloucestershire have chosen to field first after winning the toss - this one gets under way at 18:45.

Surrey bring in Jordan Clark and Cameron Steel as they look for a fourth win in five games.

  8. Postpublished at 18:40 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Somerset v Middlesex 9-1

Middlesex have lost all four games so far in this year's tournament and they're in trouble again already.

The visitors have barely been able to get Craig Overton and Josh Davey off the square in these first three overs and they've lost Joe Cracknell, bowled for a duck by Davey.

    Notts v Worcs 23-0

Brett D'Oliveira isn't hanging about at Trent Bridge. He hit the first two deliveries of the game from Shaheen Shah Afridi for four and has just swept Matt Carter for a six over square leg.

Two overs gone and D'Oliveira is 22 not out from eight balls faced.

  10. Postpublished at 18:36 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Durham v Lancashire 21-0

Jos Buttler and Phil Salt open for Lancashire who have opted to bat first at the Riverside.

No Luke Wells for the Lightning after he tweaked his groin in the warm-up, but no problem for the visitors as Liam Trevaskis' opening over goes for a dozen with Salt cracking back-to-back fours.

Buttler and Salt find the rope off Wayne Parnell's second set too. 21 off two.

    Northants v Leics 1-1

    Nick WelchImage source, Rex Features

Bad start for Leicestershire with Nick Welch bowled by Ben Sanderson's second ball of the game. There may have been an inside edge - but there was also a very large gap for the Steelbacks seamer to find.

  12. Postpublished at 18:32 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Somerset v Middlesex 1-0

Craig Overton's back in the Somerset line-up and takes the new ball for the unbeaten South Group leaders, who have won the toss and sent Middlesex in at Taunton.

Good start for Overton, who beats the bat several times and gives away just a single from the opening over.

  13. Postpublished at 18:32 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Glamorgan v Kent 2-0

Tawanda Muyeye and Daniel-Bell-Drummond open up for the visitors after Glamorgan won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Muyeye gets off the mark with a risky single off Jamie McIlroy before DBD works a single into the off-side. Just those two off the over.

Big match early in the group stage this, 4th against 5th but would be a four point gap if Glamorgan can win their first home game.

    Northants v Leics 0-0

The Foxes have rung the changes for this evening's game at Wantage Road, with Lewis Hill, Louis Kimber, Josh Hull and Naseem Shah coming into a side which has lost all four games so far.

They have won the toss and chosen to bat against Northants, who have brought in Emilio Gay to replace Ricardo Vasconcelos, who has a minor injury.

  15. Postpublished at 18:30 British Summer Time 2 June 2023

    Notts v Worcs 0-0

Notts Outlaws have won the toss at Trent Bridge and decided to bowl first - with Conor McKerr recalled in place of Jack Brooks.

Brett D'Oliveira and Michael Bracewell are the openers for unbeaten Worcestershire, who give Mitch Santner his first T20 game of the season.

Moeen Ali will skipper Birmingham Bears for the first time this evening, having returned to the club from Worcestershire at the end of last season.

The 35-year-old England all-rounder, who led the Rapids to the Blast title in 2018, has been away at the IPL where his Chennai Super Kings side beat Gujarat Titans in a rain-affected final.

"His experience and quality will only benefit the side and help us build on our great start to the Blast, said head coach Mark Robinson.

Tonight's game at Derby will be Moeen's first for his home county for 17 years.

Jos Buttler's return to action for Lancashire was a let-down for Lightning fans as they lost the Roses match by 15 runs at Headingley.

After Dawid Malan led the Vikings to 195-6 with 83 off 50 balls, Buttler fell to spinner Dom Bess for one as they came up short on 180-8.

Simon Harmer bagged a hat-trick with his first three deliveries - and returned figures of 4-28 as Essex beat Sussex Sharks 25 runs after setting them a target of 164.

Derbyshire's Wayne Madsen took his runs total to 277 with 109 not out off only 61 balls as the Falcons made 189-5 on the way to a dramatic two-run win over Leicestershire Foxes at Grace Road.
