  1. Somerset need 95 off 60 ballspublished at 20:48 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Somerset 63-5 (10 overs) v Notts 157-6

Notts are scrapping so hard here and have got a great shout of defending these.

Interestingly, had Sean Dickson reviewed his lbw, Hawk Eye had it pitching outside leg!

  2. wicket

WICKET Abell c Moores b Harrison 26published at 9.3 overs

    Somerset 62-5 v Notts 157-6

Oh my a second in the over for Calvin Harrison!

Tom Abell goes to cut but gets a thin bottom edge that's well held by Tom Moores.

    Taunton has gone silent.

  3. Lightning need 86 off 48 ballspublished at 20:44 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Lancs 102-2 (12 overs) v Surrey 187-5

Chris Jordan positions himself at slip to Sunil Narine just to add a little bit of extra pressure for the Lancashire batters.

Only two runs from that over and the match turns a fraction towards Surrey.

  4. wicket

WICKET Dickson lbw b Harrison 4published at 9.1 overs

    Somerset 61-4 v Notts 157-6

    Another one for Notts!

Sean Dickson goes to reverse-sweep, misses, and looks stone dead.

But replays show it pitched outside leg stump. Should have reviewed it!

  5. Postpublished at 20:42 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Lancs 100-2 (11 overs) v Surrey 187-5

Great over from Dan Moriarty. Just six from it and the wicket of Jos Buttler. Which team has the stronger nerve from here?

Lancashire need 88 off nine overs.

  6. wicket

    Hampshire 13-1 (1.1 overs) v Worcestershire 100

  7. wicket

WICKET Buttler c Evans b Moriarty 42published at 20:39 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Lancs 97-2 (10.4 overs) v Surrey 187-5

Now then - Surrey have their second wicket and it's the big one as Jos Buttler carves a ball from Dan Moriarty to backward point.

Lancashire skipper Liam Livingstone replaces him.

  8. Postpublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Lancs 94-1 (10 overs) v Surrey 187-5

Full toss by Sunil Narine but Jos Buttler can't beat Jason Roy at point with a reverse sweep.

Steven Croft tries to slog the spinner over mid-wicket but makes no contact and the ball flies past the keeper for four byes.

Poor misfield by Chris Jordan gifts Buttler two runs to end the over and Lancashire need another 94 to win from the 10 overs remaining.

  9. ouch!

Usama Mir goes off injuredpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Hampshire 9-0 (0.4 overs) v Worcestershire 100

Hampshire are under way with an early boundary each for James Vince and Nye Donald off Notts-bound Dillon Pennington.

But key Worcestershire spinner Usama Mir has gone off, with what looks like a back strain. He is off to get treatment - and with him might go the Pears' only realistic hope.

  10. wicket

WICKET Smeed run out (Hales) 22published at 7.4 overs

    Somerset 54-3 v Notts 157-6

    Oh yes he has!

Outstanding work out at wide long-on.

He gathers one-handed and the throw is right on target, Calvin Harrison is there to flick off the bails, and it leaves Will Smeed short trying to charge back for a second.

Has Alex Hales effected a great run out?

  12. Lancs need 102 off 66 ballspublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Lancs 86-1 (9 overs) v Surrey 187-5

Poor start by Sean Abbott as Steven Croft square cuts for four - followed by a single to the Lancashire veteran brings up a 50 partnership with Jos Buttler.

Abbott drops short but Buttler - for once - misses out as he tries to repeat Croft's stroke at the start of the over. He keeps the strike, though, with a single to mid-off from the final delivery.

  13. Postpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Somerset 44-2 (6 overs) v Notts 157-6

Somerset going along okay after losing those couple of early wickets.

Will Smeed has got going with 20 from 15 balls.

Captain Tom Abell alongside him, 15 from 10.

Required rate has just edged up beyond eight-an-over.

    Anyone's game at the moment.

  14. Postpublished at 20:31 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Lancs 80-1 (8 overs) v Surrey 187-5

Surrey can't afford errors like that. Sam Curran beat Jos Buttler with the first ball of a new over, but keeper Jamie Smith fails to gather and it runs away through his legs for four byes.

The Lancashire batters are willing to bide their time in that over - no extravagant strokes. They know that if they can keep it at 10 an over, this match is theirs.

  15. 6 runs

Postpublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Lancs 72-1 (7 overs) v Surrey 187-5

Here comes Sunil Narine and Jos Buttler effortlessly hits his opening delivery over mid-on for an imperious six.

Enjoy that? How about a repeat? Same result.

Narine adjusts his length and Buttler tucks it away for one.

Steven Croft sensibly rotates the strike but Narine has learned his lesson and Buttler is restricted to a single from the final ball of the over. He has 34 off 18 balls.

  16. Postpublished at 20:23 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Lancs 56-1 (6 overs) v Surrey 187-5

Steven Croft hit his first ever T20 hundred earlier in the competition and he's very much in the mood this evening.

He drills the ball back past bowler Chris Jordan for four and then pounds to mid-wicket for a single.

One to Jos Buttler ends a respectable opening over by the Surrey skipper and ends the powerplay.

  17. wicket

WORCESTERSHIRE BOWLED OUT BY HANTS FOR 100published at 20:22 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Brown lbw b Ellis 0 (17.5 overs) v Hampshire

    Well that ended quickly!

Pat Brown gets trapped in front first ball - and Worcestershire are all out, with 13 balls unused.

Nathan Ellis has finished off the innings with three wickets in four balls, and figures of 4-6 from 17 deliveries.

Poor Ed Pollock is marooned on an exemplary 24 not out from 27 deliveries.

This surely will not take long for Hampshire to knock off.

They bowled out Gloucestershire for an almost equally under-par 105 on Sunday, on this very same strip, then knocked off the runs with 33 balls to spare.

  18. wicket

WICKET Pennington c Weatherley b Ellis 0published at 20:21 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Hampshire v Worcestershire 100-8 (17.4 overs)

Nottinghamshire-bound Dillon Pennington lasts just two balls before picking out Joe Weatherley.

In comes last man Pat Brown.

  19. Postpublished at 20:19 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Lancs 50-1 (5 overs) v Surrey 187-5

Another good over for Lancashire and Steven Croft beats Sean Abbott's dive at deep mid-wicket for his first four.

He then clips fine past the keeper and ends the over with a well-played sweep for a third boundary to bring up Lancashire's 50.

Their score after five is exactly the same as Surrey's was at the same stage of their innings.

  20. wicket

WICKET Finch b Ellis 1published at 20:19 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Hampshire v Worcestershire 100-8 (17.2 overs)

Adam Finch can't do anything. He goes fifth ball.

A second wicket for Nathan Ellis.
