Steven Croft mistimes a square cut and sets off for a run - Jos Buttler sends him back and despite a desperate dive, he would have been gone if the throw had hit the stumps.
Croft times the next one better and is under way with a single.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore leans back to cut but it skids on and takes out his off stump.

Usama Mir holes out in the deep off Benny Howell to bring his 70-run stand with Ed Pollock to an end.

Sean Abbott has been a good acquistion for Surrey this summer, but he has only taken five wickets in 12 previous games before tonight.
A poor ball is flicked down to long leg for four by Phil Salt but he doesn't get hold of the next one and Chris Jordan has a safe pair of hands at mid-off.

But it's some recovery from 29-6.

Big task this for left-arm spinner Dan Moriarty, who hasn't played a T20 game for Surrey this season before tonight.
A decent start with four singles added before Jos Buttler takes a couple of steps down the pitch and chips it back over the umpire's head for four.

Huge appeal for caught behind against Tom Banton as he reverse-sweeps Imad Wasim and the ball balloons off something to the keeper.
Lancs 23-0 (2 overs) v Surrey 187-5
Sam Curran will bowl the second over for Surrey.
His first ball is directed at Phil Salt's hip and he flicks it away for four.
Curran's line is awry as Jos Buttler tickles it down to the fine leg boundary and he is 12 not out.

20 wickets in this year's competition for the 22-year-old paceman.

Wow.
It's a respectable delivery by Will Jacks but Phil Salt's timing is superb and he muscles it away past cover for four.
Jacks overpitches later in the over and Jos Buttler clips it away effortlessly for six.
Lancashire will be happy with that start.

Hampshire v Worcestershire 67-6 (12 overs)
After nine off the previous Benny Howell over, Nathan Ellis stems the tide again.
Only three off that one.
But Ed Pollock (11) and Usama Mir (24) are both into double figures - and Worcestershire have not lost a wicket now in 20 minutes, so that's a bonus.
A brief break in play as the umpires intervene. But we are not quite sure what for.

Lewis Gregory goes for eight in the final over.
But that was a real struggle for Notts.
They lost early wickets and simply couldn't change the pace of the innings.
Matt Montgomery was the only batsmen to get going with 51 in 38 balls.
Imad Wasim made a late 31 in 15 balls.
Notts have at least scrambled together a workable total but against a side who like to chase and have won 12 out of 14 in qualifying, it may be a few light.
Lancs v Surrey 187-5 (20 overs)
Tom Bailey varies his pace intelligently but Chris Jordan hammers the ball over long-on for six from the seamer's penultimate delivery.
Two off the final ball leaves Jordan on 12 not out and means Lancashire will chase 188 for victory.
Bailey's figures are 2-37 from his four overs.

Chris Jordan makes no contact with a cross-batted swipe and partner Jamie Overton is run out by wicketkeeper Jos Buttler's underarm throw as they try to pinch a single. No arguments there - definitely not an Alex Carey situation.

You're not going to get away with full tosses at this stage of an innings and Daryl Mitchell pays the price as Jamie Overton powers it down the ground for four.
Mitchell drops short with his final delivery and Overton top edges it for another boundary. Poor ball to finish his stint and his final figures are 0-44.

Pakistan's Imad Wasim can cause some damage and he whacks Ben Green over long-on for six.
Four twos and a slap past cover for four finally gives Notts a big over.
Man alive did they need that.
They need another couple too to finish the innings off.
