  1. Postpublished at 19 overs

    Scotland 134-6 v Jersey

Can Scotland make 150? They have ten from the previous over... they'll need another similar over here, off Elliot Miles.

Greaves will face the final ball of the over, and he drives past two despairing fielders for four. A much needed boundary.

  2. 6 runs

    Scotland 125-6 v Jersey

Dominic Blampied will have a bowl. And he owes Elliot Miles for saving a boundary, some superb fielding from the spin bowler down at third man.

There's nothing any fielder can do when Mark Watt tees off. It's the fifth ball of the 17th over, and we finally have our first six. It's clubbed away.

  3. Postpublished at 17 overs

    Scotland 115-6 v Jersey

Chuggy Perchard is back on. I've asked about the origins of that nickname - there's not been a solid answer thus far.

Scotland will be keen to try and reach 140 - the scorecard is looking sparse as it is. Chris Greaves meets a full toss with a big slog and it's a one-bounce boundary. Still no sixes in this innings.

The over ends with a big appeal from Asa Tribe. I thought I heard a nick, but the umpire isn't keen.

  4. Postpublished at 16 overs

    Scotland 107-6 v Jersey

Julius Sumerauer is on for the end of his spell. Greaves has a wild hook at one and it goes into the air.. but drops short of fine leg. A sigh of relief is felt around the ground.

If they care to look to the sky, they'll see dark clouds gathering. Foreshadowing?

  5. 100 runs

up for Scotlandpublished at 15 overs

    Scotland 98-6 v Jersey

That's more like it from Chris Greaves, a superb sweep to dismiss Nick Greenwood that reaches the boundary - the first in almost two overs.

Another two singles take Scotland to three digits. They'd have thought it would come much sooner.

  6. This could be massive...published at 14 overs

    Scotland 92-6 v Jersey

    Brent Pilnick
    BBC Sport

If Jersey were to get a win today it would arguably be the biggest victory in their history.

They have beaten sides that have qualified for T20 World Cups in the past, such as Oman and the United Arab Emirates.

But a win over Scotland, who are 14th in the world and are playing on home soil, would be bigger than anything they have ever done before.

  7. wicket

WICKET Leask b Ward 6published at 13.2 overs

    Scotland 88-6 v Jersey

Ward chucks floats the ball down the track, it's nice and slow and completely fools Michael Leask all ends up.

The middle stump is off for a walk, although I'm surprised there was enough pace on it to knock it out!

Mark Watt is the fireman now for Doug Watson's side. The wickets are falling all around the Grange and this crowd have been silenced.

  8. wicket

WICKET Berrington c Lawrenson b Miles 34published at 12.3 overs

    Scotland 84-5 v Jersey

It seems like someone jinxed him. Berrington tries the big shot but doesn't connect properly, and young Lawrenson at long-on takes the catch on the boundary.

It's a sharp, disciplined performance from Jersey. They've set traps for Scotland, and snared them perfectly.

Scotland are in real, real trouble.

  9. Postpublished at 12 overs

    Scotland 82-4 v Jersey

Scotland are behind where they want to be, but Berrington sweeps away for another four. A great shot from the skipper.

He's the man for a crisis. Scotland need him here.

  10. Postpublished at 11 overs

    Scotland 75-4 v Jersey

It's the Kiwi, all-rounder Nick Greenwood, who now comes into the bowling attack. This is bowler number six, already.

Richie Berrington drills one over extra cover for another four. Scotland need a solid partnership here.

It's shaping up for a shock - can Berrington and Leask pull Scotland back to a decent score?

  11. Promising start for Jerseypublished at 10 overs

    Scotland 68-4 v Jersey

    Brent Pilnick
    BBC Sport

This has been a great start for the islanders - but they will know there's still a lot of work to do. This reminds me of their loss to Zimbabwe in the last T20 World Cup Qualfier last year.

They were excellent in restricting the African side to 95-5 with six-and-a-half overs to go and the hosts rallied to make 146-8.

On that occasion Jersey lost cheap early wickets and ended 23 runs short.

Have they learned their lesson 12 months on?

  12. Postpublished at 9 overs

    Scotland 64-3 v Jersey

Just to add some pressure to proceedings... you'd have to think the winner of today's game really cements their status as one of the top two to go through.

This is the third time the pitch has been used in just 24 hours, so the wicket is a little tired. Scotland might allow themselves a slightly smaller target.

The Jersey 'ultras' are here in loud voice, making themselves known in the Scottish sunshine with their flags and hats.

    Five from the over.

  13. Berrington looks to stabilisepublished at 8 overs

    Scotland 59-3 v Jersey

Benjamin Ward is on from the pavilion end, as Brandon McMullen comes to the crease. Scotland's unofficial gun didn't have the best innings yesterday - just 8 against Germany.

Berrington pumps one through cover for a much needed boundary. The run rate is under 7.5 - that needs boosted.

  14. wicket

WICKET Munsey b Miles 33published at 6.6 overs

    Scotland 50-3 v Jersey

I told you Miles was dangerous! Munsey drags on from outside off-stump! Miles catches the big fish and he celebrates with a cart-wheel - it was far from graceful.

Thankfully for Jersey, his bowling is better.

Munsey was down on knee, he wanted to go very big with that. Instead, he's gone back to the pavilion. Scotland are in a slightly perilous position.

  15. 50 runs

50 up for Scotlandpublished at 6.5 overs

    Scotland 49-2 v Jersey

Change of bowler at the far end - the Inverleith Park end. Elliot Miles comes on, and Berrington dispatches him for four with the first ball. It was at a catchable height, but it found a gap.

Don't let that early boundary fool you, Miles is an excellent bowler who gives it a real rip. Scotland need to be wary.

  16. Postpublished at 6 overs

    Scotland 42-2 v Jersey

As he did yesterday, Berrington is content to just play himself in here. Just four off this Sumerauer over, all in the form of singles.

  17. wicket

WICKET Cross b Perchard 5published at 4.5 overs

    Scotland 39-2 v Jersey

Munsey cracks another one back over the head of Perchard. It wasn't particularly well-timed, but he is so strong he was able to get it over mid-on... just.

Cross back on strike.. and clean bowled by the Jersey skipper! He played one beautiful shot, but other than that he looked uncomfortable.

It's a peach from Chuggy Perchard, but Cross is another caught playing across the line.

The man of the moment comes to the crease - Richie Berrington.

  18. Postpublished at 4 overs

    Scotland 34-1 v Jersey

Matthew Cross is the third man in, and he got a quick single with the last ball of Chuggy Perchard's over.

He gets back on strike and got seriously lucky at the start of this over, his mistimed shot looping up into the air but dropping a few yards short of the on-rushing Julius Sumerauer - chasing his own delivery.

He bounces back well though, cracking it through the covers for four and his first boundary. Shot.

  19. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 3 overs

    Scotland 28-1 v Jersey

Scotland are living a bit dangerously here.

The keeper, Asa Tribe, is standing up to the stumps, and he couldn't react quickly enough as George Munsey nicked it behind. Maybe the keeper is a bit close for that kind of pace, as it hits the gloves and goes down.

    A decent over from Chuggy.

  20. wicket

WICKET Hairs c Carlyon b Perchard 4published at 2.1 overs

    Scotland 23-1 v Jersey

That's not what Scotland needed. With the first ball of captain Charles Perchard's second over, Hairs top edges high into the sky and pays the price.

He just tried to play that across the line, but it was fairly wide outside his off-stump. I'm not sure that was on, and the ball flutters to short third.

I should call him 'Chuggy' Perchard, as I'm reliably told that's his nickname. I promise that's not a wind-up.
