  1. 'Last wicket partnership proved crucial'published at 17:56 British Summer Time 15 August 2023

London Spirit captain Heather Knight on Sky Sports: "The way we contained them in the powerplay was awesome, Danielle Gibson was excellent and then Tara backed her up. She kept it really simple and bowled to her field outstandingly well.

"We wanted to keep our intent with the bat because if you stall, you leave yourselves with too much to do. That partnership between Tara and Lauren Filer proved crucial.

"As a top order we were disappointed. But with Sarah Glenn and Charlie Dean too, they added really important runs.

"We felt like we've been close to our best. It's hard to find form when you get rained off for the first couple like we did.

"Hopefully it will give the girls plenty of confidence going forward now."

The Invincibles were still in it for a while but every time they tried to accelerate, they lost wickets.

A fine bowling and fielding effort from the Spirit saw them bowl the Invincibles out for 97 form the last ball of the innings.

Oval Invincibles looked clear favourites at the halfway stage, needing just 119 to win.

Even after losing Lauren Winfield-Hill early, Alice Capsey came in and hit a couple of boundaries to settle the nerves.

However, Capsey soon departed and the Invincibles struggled to regain any sort of momentum.

  4. 'Hopefully we've peaked at the right time'published at 17:46 British Summer Time 15 August 2023

Match Hero London Spirit's Tara Norris: "It's nice to be on the winning side. We've been a little bit unlucky with the weather and had a couple of close games so it's nice to get over the line."

On last wicket stand: "Momentum was on our side and Lauren Filer put in a great shift at the end, hitting a few boundaries.

"We definitely had that momentum and our bowlers were clinical, our spinners particularly, and Filer and Gibbo were fantastic."

On her bowling: "We looked at the pitch and saw that anything pace off was effective and difficult to get away,

"So for me personally, I wanted to keep the stumps in play, bowl cutters and not be too predictable."

On qualification chances: "Hopefully we've peaked at the right time, we're just hitting our form. We've got a few games left and we're still hoping to qualify for finals day."

Griffith run out (Holland/ Gibson) 7 (Invincibles 82-6)

Good work in the deep and Cordelia Griffith is run out coming back for the second.

The Invincibles had to go for two but there was a moment of hesitation from both batters and that was all it took.

Niamh Holland's throw was on target, Danielle Gibson collected it cleanly and broke the stumps with Griffith well short of her ground.

  15. dropped catch

    Invincibles 70-4

Is it a drop? Is it a missed stumping? It might be both.

Marizanne Kapp charges Sarah Glenn, the ball goes past the bat - maybe getting a feather of an edge - but Richa Ghosh doesn't take it cleanly.

No catch and Kapp is also able to get back into her ground so no stumping either.

  18. dropped catch

Kapp dropped on 25published at 29 balls left

    Invincibles 68-3

Very touch chance but a chance nonetheless.

Marizanne Kapp miscues the ball into the off side, Heather Knight runs back from cover and stretches to reach it.

    Let off for Kapp.
