  2. Spirit 116-6published at 90 balls

Charlie Dean comes out to join Amelia Amelia Kerr, who is in the mood. She has just clubbed Kate Cross away for back-to-back boundaries. The first a late cut down to deep third, the second smashed straight over the bowler's head and beyond the despairing dive of the boundary rider.

Kerr is 44 from just 22 balls! It has rescued a Spirit innings that was floundering at times.

    Ten balls to go...

    Glenn c Higham b Davidson-Richards 1 (Spirit 101-6)

    Another wicket falls!

Sarah Glenn attempts to pull a slower-ball bouncer from Alice Davidson-Richards but can only pick out Lucy Higham at deep square leg.

Amelia Kerr, the set batter, is still there. But she won't want to run out of partners.

  4. Spirit 99-5published at 80 balls

Amelia Kerr is looking to regain that momentum though! She hits back-to-back boundaries with two powerful sweep-shots off Lucy Higham.

Kerr has raced to 31 from just 18 balls.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 75 balls

    Ghosh c Cross b Higham 21 (Spirit 90-5)

One big hit too many for Richa Ghosh!

She goes for another heave over long on but does not get enough power, allowing Kate Cross to run in from the boundary and take the catch.

A brief but enterprising innings from Ghosh comes to an end. Spirit pegged back just as they were gaining momentum.

    Spirit 84-4published at 69 balls

Richa Ghosh is on the charge!

She nails a shot towards long-on and Kate Cross cannot quite grasp despite a despairing dive into the air and the ball goes over the rope for six.

Oh dear. Less than impressive cricket all round.

A poor delivery from Georgia Wareham is heading well down leg, Amelia Kerr mistimes the sweep shot but a misfield at short fine leg allows the ball to trickle to the boundary.

Much better next ball from Kerr, drilling a drive through the covers for four more. Much more convincing.

  8. Spirit 64-4published at 60 balls

Just five from Lucy Higham's set as the Spirit try to regroup after those two quick wickets.

With 40 balls left, they do have some time to do so but they'll need to kick on again before too long.

  9. Spirit 59-4published at 56 balls

Lucy Higham is into the attack and the spinner immediately finds a leading edge from Richa Ghosh.

The ball hangs in the air but falls just short of the fielder.

  10. Spirit 59-4published at 55 balls

A mistimed straight drive brings Amelia Kerr a single to end the set from Grace Ballinger.

The left-arm seamer is done with the ball, she ends with figures of 1-20 from her 20 balls.

  11. Spirit 57-4published at 52 balls

New batter Richa Ghosh adds four much-needed runs to the London Spirit total with a strong shot through the covers.

Alice Davidson-Richards chases it all the way but can't quite flick the ball back - but she's done herself some damage in trying to do so.

She hobbles off the pitch to be checked. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 50 balls

Knight run out (Armitage) 13 (Spirit 53-4)

Terrible mix up and Heather Knight is run out by a mile!

Amelia Kerr hits the ball to mid-off and Knight sprints towards her for a single. Kerr is ball-watching, though, and doesn't move.

By the time Knight realises, she is two-thirds of the way down the pitch and stranded.

Hollie Armitage underarms the throw to Georgia Wareham but hits the stumps. An accidental direct hit only means Knight is a couple of yards further out of shot.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 43 balls

    Harris c Litchfield b Smith 5 (Spirit 43-3)

Full toss but Grace Harris smashes it straight to mid-wicket!

Linsey Smith can hardly believe her luck. That was a shocking delivery, Harris' eyes lit up but as she wonders exactly where she is going to send it over the ropes, she toe-ends it to Phoebe Litchfield.

  14. Spirit 42-2published at 40 balls

Heather Knight smashes a half-volley back over Grace Ballinger's head and has just enough to find the rope despite nearly plugging in the turf close to the rope. Some positive intent from the England skipper.

Time for some left-arm spin now as Linsey Smith enters the attack.

  15. Spirit 36-2published at 35 balls

New batter Grace Harris shows some intent with with a paddle-sweep for four off just her second delivery.

This has been a very good start by Superchargers though, who will qualify for the knockouts and eliminate Spirit with a win today remember.

How good is this from England newbie Bess Heath?

    Gibson b Wareham 24 (Spirit 32-2)

Bowled her! Georgia Wareham strikes straight away!

Dani Gibson looks to give herself some room for the cut but the delivery is too full and the ball clatters into the top of off stump.

  18. Spirit 30-1published at 30 balls

A run-a-ball start for London Spirit, helped by that huge six from Dani Gibson.

Hollie Armitage has turned to spin now we are out of the powerplay as Georgia Wareham comes into the attack.

  19. 6 runs

    Spirit 28-1published at 28 balls

    Shot!

Dani Gibson seizes on a full delivery from Kate Cross and heaves a half-volley over deep mid-wicket for six!

Gibson absolutely middled that, great shot.

  20. Spirit 22-1published at 25 balls

A delivery way down leg side from Grace Ballinger is paddled away by Dani Gibson for four. A poor ball got the treatment it deserved there.

London Spirit reach 22-1 after the powerplay.
