  1. Brave 11-0published at 90 balls left

    Target 119

There's plenty of swing on offer for Mahika Gaur and that is proving particularly useful against the right-handed Danni Wyatt.

However, when the ball doesn't swing for Gaur, Wyatt is waiting to pounce on the width and carve the ball over backward point for four.

    That was a difficult chance.

  3. dropped catch

Mandhana dropped on 1published at 95 balls left

    Brave 4-0

Chance from the last ball of the first set!

Smriti Mandhana tries to hit over the covers, mistimes the shot and the ball hangs in the air.

Emma Lamb goes back from extra cover, stretches to reach the ball as it drops over her shoulder but can't hold on after getting her hands to it.

Tough chance but missing it could prove costly with a player of Mandhana's ability.

  4. Brave 1-0published at 98 balls left

    Target 119

Mahika Gaur strays onto the pads second ball and Smriti Mandhana clips the ball into the leg side for the first run of the innings.

In T20s in 2023, Smriti Mandhana has been dismissed by off-spinners on 10 occasions.

The Brave opener averages just 13.60 with a strike-rate of 98 against off-spin across 20 innings.

That may mean Manchester Originals look to bring Fi Morris into the attack early.

Here come the players for the start of the Brave innings. The visitors need 119 to win but if they reach 112, they will be straight through to the final regardless.

Mahika Gaur will open the bowl for the Originals.

As Ffion mentioned, Manchester Originals' bowlers have been in great form but how much will they miss Sophie Ecclestone?

If you're just joining us, the England spinner is not playing today after suffering a shoulder injury in the warm-up.

She is currently at the hospital to have a scan on that shoulder.

    Thanks, Ffion.

Brave are certainly favourites going into the chase, WinViz gives them a 59% chance of victory.

That would send them straight through to the final at Lord's on Sunday. In fact, a tie would be enough to guarantee they finish top.

So can Southern Brave get the victory and catapult themselves straight into Sunday's final?

They certainly have the batting power to chase down this total, but Originals' bowlers have also been in great form.

To take you through the chase, here's Sam Drury.

Southern Brave will be happy with that. With that partnership between Fi Morris and Laura Wolvaardt, Originals looked like they were going to get up to 140-plus at one stage.

They put the squeeze on and will be confident of chasing this down, especially with Sophie Ecclestone missing for the Originals.

Manchester Originals batter Laura Wolvaardt on BBC Two: "It was tough to score boundaries out there. It is a tricky pitch to play the spinners.

"I haven't been in great form so I just wanted to hang in there with Fi and she helped me out massively there.

"I am frustrated that I got in and got out.

"It was a freak injury for Sophie Ecclestone. It did take a bit of energy out of us and we had to readjust. We hope she is all right."

Fi Morris led Originals' recovery after Emma Lamb departed for just four, but couldn't find any other batters to kick on around her.

  13. Originals 118-4published at 100 balls

Just a couple of singles to conclude the innings, which ends with a bit of a whimper after such a promising start.

Fi Morris played nicely for her 50, Wolvaardt made 46 but the line-up could not capitalise at the end.

It's in Southern Brave's favour at the halfway stage, as they require 119 to win.

  14. Originals 116-4published at 97 balls

Kathryn Bryce drills one through the covers for four precious runs.

Two important wickets for Anya Shrubsole. Good catch from Danni Wyatt after moving to her right.

    Laura Wolvaardt played well.

Manchester Originals' innings is unravelling here.

Laura Wolvaardt understandably tries to force a boundary, with only seven balls left, but picks out Danni Wyatt at deep mid-wicket.

After a solid start, Originals haven't made the most of it.

I thought Dottin had got hold of that one. It's amazing how much the ball follows someone who has just dropped a catch.

Two balls later, it's back to Smriti Mandhana and it's a simple enough catch. An important wicket for Southern Brave.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 91 balls

    Dottin c Mandhana b Shrubsole 4 (Originals 107-3)

Mandhana makes no mistake this time!

Deandra Dottin can't make the most of the platform that was set for her. She slogs one straight to Mandhana at long-off and departs for a rather painful four from eight balls.

That concludes a disappointing Hundred for the former West Indies star.
