Southern Brave captain James Vince on BBC Two: "The thinking was that if it rains later, we know it favours the team chasing so it will help us to know what we need to do.

"We know the equation [to qualify]. It's clear, we've just got to play with freedom and give ourselves the best chance to win.

"We have got a lot of batting firepower, and we haven't seen the best of them yet. Hopefully they can fire tonight, and our bowlers can just keep doing what they've done the whole way through.

"Mitchell Santner has come in for Tim David, who has gone home."

West Indies all-rounder on BBC Two

Rehan Ahmed will be looking forward to bowling on this pitch which has taken some spin.

And Calvin Harrison for Originals, too - it is their time to shine.

James Vince calls correctly at the coin toss and Southern Brave will bowl first.

With the potential for a bit of rain, that gives them the best chance of knowing exactly what they'll need to do in this must-win game.

Manchester Originals are currently second on nine points and the best net run-rate in the competition.

A win for them guarantees them second place and would see Welsh Fire qualify in third. In fact, the only way the Originals won't progress is if they lose by approximately 84 runs or with 55 balls to spare, which would see their NRR to dip below that of Fire.

Southern Brave simply have to win. Do that and they will go level on points with Fire but with a superior NRR. That would set up a rematch with the Originals at The Oval on Saturday.

    Hopefully that clears things up.
