"100 caps for myself is really special, and now I have to captain as well. Lauren Winfield-Hill gave me a special cap and I made my debut alongside her so that was a nice moment.

At a much brighter-looking Leicester, Chamari Athapaththu wins the toss and chooses to have a bowl - unsurprising, given the conditions and the delays.

A bit of news before the toss is that Heather Knight is unwell, so Nat Sciver-Brunt will lead the side today on her 100th ODI appearance.

It's still drizzling out there so I'm not sure the pitch inspection is going to yield anything particularly positive at this moment in time. The groundstaff are working hard to get the water up off the covers, but the umbrellas are up at the moment.

It's like a mist at the moment - like we are sitting in a cloud. We do hope it will clear away in the next hour or so and we will see some cricket.

Some good news! The rain seems to have eased and the mop up operation has started.

It will still take a while to get the outfield ready for play but it's something.

There is still no movement. But the ground staff have said that they will need at least an hour and a half after the rain stops to make sure that the ground is playable.

Cricket journalist Raf Nicholson: The rain has eased up slightly at Leicester, but prospects of play still seem rather remote - it’s damp, mizzly and misty.

England have experimented and looked at some new talent. There would have been pressure on youngsters making their debuts in this series but they've done well.
