Final ball of the innings and Charlie Dean hits the ball to long on. Sarah Glenn is then run out attempting what can only be described as an ambitious second run.

You can really see Sarah Glenn's hockey prowess when she bats. She hits the ball in very unusual areas and uses her wrists so well.

  3. Eng 272-2published at 30.3 overs

Sarah Glenn hits it deliciously through point for another boundary.

Given the circumstances, Prabodhani's five overs for 31 is a very good effort.

A clatter of wickets. Here's how Amy Jones was dismissed a little earlier.

Bess Heath was targeting the longest part of the ground again.

On most other grounds, that is six.

It was a handy little cameo from Bess Heath on debut. I like the look of her, and I think her England career will be a long one.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 29.4 overs

    Heath c Karunaratne b Dilhari 21 (Eng 264-7)

However, Sri Lanka burgle a wicket with a full toss two balls later.

Kavisha Dilhari tosses it up and Bess Heath attempts to heave it into the leg side only to pick out the fielder, Hansima Karunaratne, in the deep.

  10. Eng 262-7published at 29.2 overs

Brilliant technique from Bess Heath who gets down on one knee to Kavisha Dilhari and reverse paddles the ball to the boundary for four.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 28.5 overs

    Davidson-Richards run out (Dilhari/Kulasuriya) 2 (Eng 257-6)

    Well short, in fact.

Good work by Kavisha Dilhari at midwicket to get the ball to Achini Kulasuriya at the stumps.

That is a very smart bit of work in the field in the end. A very accurate throw on the bounce.

Alice Davidson-Richards is struggling to make her ground at the non-striker's end coming back for a second after Davidson-Richards and looks to be run out here.

It's being checked by the third umpire

It's already a very daunting total for a side who haven't got past 106 yet in this series.

That is six to the longest past of the ground! This is what Bess Heath is here to do.

  16. 6 runs

    Eng 256-5published at 29 overs

Bess Heath with a thick edge as she attempts to square drive and the ball races through the vacant third region for four to record her first boundary in international cricket.

A couple of balls later and she has her first six with a huge wallop towards cow corner.

  17. Eng 244-5published at 28 overs

Bess Heath has yet to really get going with three runs off six balls as she is joined by Alice Davidson-Richards.Three overs left.

Meanwhile, feast your eyes on the best shots of Nat Sciver-Brunt's century.

Amy Jones had to keep going for it so I don't mind the aggressive intent.

It's another good catch, given the fact they will have cold hands out there.

England are going to go all-out attack now but Sri Lanka can salvage a bit of pride.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 27.3 overs

    Jones c Madavi b Dilhari 9 (Eng 242-5)

A carbon copy of Nat Sciver Brunt's dismissal from moments ago.

Amy Jones advances down the pitch to Kavisha Dilhari and gets the height but not the distance and is caught by Harshitha Madavi down at long-off.

Sri Lanka have almost certainly dashed England's hopes of making 300 with these wickets.

Sri Lanka just haven't done the basics.

It's cold, it's wet and miserable and the conditions are not in the favour so it is hard work.
