  1. SL 66-4published at 11 overs

    Target 274

There is a good opportunity here for a couple of Sri Lanka's batters to get themselves some handy runs against a strong bowling attack, which will hold them in good stead.

Karunaratne chips Charlie Dean over mid-off for four more, before Perera continues her cameo with a lovely late-cut for another boundary.

The total might seem a long way off but Sri Lanka just have to give it a bit of a whirl.

Based on the previous few games what we might see now from Sri Lanka is a lot of dots, lot of blocks and the occasional heave.

Scoreboard pressure has certainly helped England, but they have been brilliant so far with the ball in hand.

  7. SL 46-4published at 9 overs

    Target 274

    What now for Sri Lanka?

Build a partnership for the sake of pride, or just have a swing and see what happens?

She's gone for a big yahoo. That looked and felt very out. It's hard to be even more out than that, in fact.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 8.5 overs

    Athapaththu lbw b Dean 12 (SL 46-4)

As out as out can be.

Full, straight and Athapaththu's attempt at a slog sweep backfires.

She's hit on the back leg, with replays showing the ball going on to crash into middle stump.

Sri Lanka's dwindling hopes depart with their captain.

  10. SL reviewpublished at 8.4 overs

Two boundaries earlier in the over for Chamari Athapaththu, but Charlie Dean strikes back.

The Sri Lanka captain is trapped bang in front, given out, and reviews out of pure optimism with a grimace.

Lovely hands from Hasini Perera to bring up a four. For the Sri Lanka batters it's just about surviving Lauren Filer at the moment.

  12. SL 38-3published at 8 overs

    Target 274

Promising signs of intent from Perera, who carves Mahika Gaur past point for four before cutting a short ball away for the same result.

A rare expensive over from England.

Sri Lanka have chased leather for a few hours and are now facing Lauren Filer charging in. They are not doing a lot wrong - and jumping on anything loose from England. However, there's been a lot of playing and missing, because it's bowling of a good standard.

  15. SL 30-3published at 7 overs

    Target 274

Hasini Perera whacks Lauren Filer through the covers for four more, as Sri Lanka are just hanging on by a thread here.

Their hopes lie with Athapaththu, and even then they are very, very slim.

It was a lovely little nip-backer from Lauren Filer. If that had crashed into middle or leg on its own the stump would have crashed out the ground. Lauren is really getting the wind up her back here. That was a ball which was good enough to get most players in world cricket out.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 6.2 overs

    Dulani b Filer 5 (SL 24-3)

    And she has her second!

Full, straight and Dulani has no answers. No footwork, late on the shot and it rattles into the stumps once more.

Sri Lanka's series, which started so brightly with the T20 victory, is coming to a limp end.

Here's how Lauren Filer got England's first breakthrough.

  19. SL 24-2published at 6 overs

Lovely shot down the ground for four from Imesha Dulani as Mahika Gaur overpitches slightly.

That concludes the powerplay, and a dominant one for England.

Classical left-arm bowling from Mahika Gaur and it gently carried to slip. It was an easy grab for Alice Davidson-Richards.
