You could sense just an element of frustration because of how disciplined Henry has been with his length.
Bairstow shuffled down the pitch a bit, the length wasn't quite there but these bats are so big now and he gets the elevation to clear Chapman.
Chipped in the air... but safe again!
An unconvincing boundary for Bairstow, who has had enough of blocking Matt Henry's unwavering consistency, and chips one just over mid-off and to the ropes.
He gets another two balls later, much more convincingly, slashing a wide-ish delivery for four through point.
Nine off the over - a profitable one for England.

After England's explosive start, with 12 from the first over, they've been pegged back a bit.
Trent Boult responds well, just one run coming from a wide from the rest of the over.
It's not been England's most explosive start but they've been solid, and put the bad ball away.
It looks hard work for the bowlers.
A group of kids are sat in the stands with towels over their heads for shelter, so goodness knows what it's like in the middle. Especially for New Zealand in the black kit.

When you hit a good length, there is actually a little bit there for the bowlers. Trent Boult just needs to find that slightly shorter length more often.
Slashed high... but for four!
A little streaky from Malan but he gets away with it, capitalising on some width from Trent Boult, who is furious with himself.
The ball flies away over a leaping fielder at point.

This already looks like a very good surface. Matt Henry, when he's got the length right, has proved difficult to score off with a bit of seam movement with the new ball.
But when the length hasn't been right, the batters have punished it. We could be on for a big score.
Despite the boundary, it's another very tidy over from the ever-consistent Matt Henry.

It's the first time that Henry has erred in length and Malan has punished him. It shows that this is a good pitch.

Lovely shot from Malan. He timed that absolutely perfectly.
Dawid Malan's patience pays off.
He unveils a picture-perfect cover drive for four as Matt Henry sends down a rare half-volley.
I'm pretty sure if Jonny Bairstow had dreamed of his perfect start to a World Cup, it would've been something close to this.
England look pretty determined to attack Trent Boult and throw him off his usual consistency.
A boundary-less over, which is an improvement from his first, but some positive running sees Bairstow and Malan take four from it.
It doesn't look like there's much out there for the bowlers in terms of swing, but there's good bounce and zip off the pitch.

Dawid Malan won't be overly concerned with this.
Excellent from Matt Henry.
A maiden, bowled under pressure after England's explosive start.
But this is what Dawid Malan does. He soaks up pressure and provides some calm to Bairstow's aggression.

Yep, height it is.
Ball tracking shows the ball going just over the stumps. A grimace from Matt Henry, but Malan survives.

It's hit him high up on the flap, it's quite straight but the umpire thinks it's probably too high.

A fightback from Matt Henry's first ball?
Dawid Malan is pinned on the pad by a full, swinging delivery.
The umpire is unmoved but Tom Latham goes for the review with a couple of seconds to spare.

He's misjudged it and the fielder there stamps down on an enormous divot.
He went down heavily on his knee, you don't want to see that. It's a concern when you see the outfield doing that.
