  1. 'No reason we can't chase 323'published at 13:28 British Summer Time 9 October 2023

Netherlands bowler Paul van Meekeren: "I would have liked it [his bowling] to be a little bit better. There are a few things to touch up on but I'm pretty happy so far.

"I tried to execute my plans and I did. I was pleased with the wickets but leaked a few too many runs towards the end."

On the innings as a whole: "At one stage it would looked like they would get 350, and then we'd keep them to around 300, and they ended up somewhere in the middle."

On the pitch: "It seems to grip a little bit so the spinners and slower balls into the top of the stumps are probably the hardest to hit."

On the chase: "The boys got a lot of confidence in the qualifiers from chasing big totals so there is no reason this batting line-up can't chase 323. We're going in with confidence."

If New Zealand were playing England, Australia or India, this score would be under par. Now they've got to 320, I think they are the favourites.

  3. Netherlands need 323 to winpublished at 13:24 British Summer Time 9 October 2023

A big ask for the Netherlands after a couple of big overs right at the death for New Zealand.

The Dutch had looked to have pulled things back but Tom Latham and then Mitchell Santner pushed the Black Caps up to 300 and beyond.

That could be really damaging. De Leede's figures were very good before this over but it has ended badly for him.

    Six more!

A low full toss this time and Mitchell Santner powers it over long on for another maximum.

A good finish for New Zealand as Bas de Leede, after impressing for the most part, slips up with his last couple of deliveries.

A great shot, there was probably nothing anyone could have done about it and Santner punishes that ball.

Oh dear! Bas de Leede gets this all wrong.

Attempted slower ball, it slips out for a very high full toss and Mitchell Santner hammers it over point for six. Superb shot.

No-ball as well, it'll be a free hit to finish...

  8. NZ 308-7published at 49.4 overs

Decent comeback from Bas de Leede. Three singles from the next three balls after the boundary.

Two deliveries left for New Zealand.

  9. NZ 305-7published at 49.1 overs

    Four to start the over!

Good line from Bas de Leede, trying to sneak it just inside the wide line but it's not quite full enough and Mitchell Santner stretches to thump it through extra cover.

  10. NZ 301-7published at 49 overs

Slight misfield and that allows Matt Henry to get back for two, meaning Mitchell Santner will be on strike to start the last over.

Good spell from Aryan Dutt, he ends with 2-62 from his 10 overs.

Bas de Leede will bowl the last.

  11. 6 runs

Drag down from Aryan Dutt - a rare bad ball from him - and Matt Henry hammers his first ball into the crowd for six!

Latham charges forward, he tried to smack that out of Hyderabad but completely misses the ball.

    Superb from Aryan Dutt!

The off-spinner has bowled very well in these death overs and holds his nerve again as Tom Latham comes at him.

Just a little bit of flight, a bit of turn and Latham misses with an almighty swipe.

    Simple stumping for Scott Edwards.

It is an expensive over and Van Meekeren looks frustrated.

  15. NZ 289-6published at 48 overs

Mitchell Santner carves the last ball of the over away for four more!

A very good over for New Zealand, 17 runs from it and that surely ensures that they will get up to 300.

The New Zealand skipper reaches his half-century from 43 balls, a good knock.

He's had to hang in there at times but after that big six to start the over, he got to 49 with a chip over mid-off for four.

A single takes him to his 22nd ODI fifty.

This where we could start to see some fun, see some fireworks. For me, New Zealand are under par and they need a big over here.

  19. 6 runs

    NZ 278-6published at 47.1 overs

Latham got hold of that! Wow!

He stands his ground and wallops the ball over the leg-side into the crowd.

You knew it was six just from the noise when bat struck ball. Clean as a whistle from the Black Caps skipper.

  20. NZ 272-6published at 47 overs

Singles all the way from Aryan Dutt's over. New Zealand are really struggling to find the boundary late in this innings.

It suggests this could be a tricky chase for the Dutch.
