  2. Ind 239-2published at 31 overs

    Need 34 from 114 balls

  3. Ind 237-2published at 30 overs

    Need 36 from 120 balls

Five singles from Rashid Khan's over.

He's taken the two wickets to fall. He's been the pick of the Afghanistan bowlers by some way.

  4. Ind 232-2published at 29 overs

Mujeeb Ur Rahman, that is rank.

He sends a ball wayyyy down the leg side, sends Rahmanullah Gurbaz sprawling but it still runs away for five wides.

Afghanistan have been very poor with the ball.

That was brilliantly played by Virat Kohli as he waited before using the pace of Rashid Khan.

    Such lazy elegance.

  6. Ind 221-2published at 28 overs

    Need 52 from 132 balls

Virat Kohli looks in excellent touch.

He picks up another boundary by going deep in his crease and whipping Rashid Khan into the mid-wicket fence.

    Superb placement.

Pakistan will be the underdogs on Saturday against India but we know if they click they could win.

Their bowling will have to improve because India play spin well and have played their quick bowlers well in the past.

Pakistan will need to find someone who can take wickets in the middle phase.

The batting has clicked but even if Pakistan score 350 against India they will be in danger if they don't get the bowling right.

  8. Ind 212-2published at 27 overs

    Need 61 from 138 balls

Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq have shook hands, shared a laugh and patted each other on the back. Feud over? Who knows.

"A good gesture," said Ramiz Raja.

Maybe Kohli will focus on the task in front of him more now, and he immediately flicks Azmatullah Omarzai to the boundary.

Watching Rohit Sharma was an absolute delight.

    So, so good.

  10. Ind 207-2published at 26 overs

Shreyas Iyer is the new batter.

He's off the mark first ball with a single.

Rohit Sharma was getting a little bored. He just wanted to whack it but you've got to be careful playing across the line to Rashid Khan.

  12. wicket

    Rohit b Rashid 131 (Ind 205-2)

Bowled 'im! The end of a magnificent innings.

Rohit Sharma goes for the slog sweep but misses and Rashid Khan hits his middle stump.

Rohit finishes with 131 from 84 balls with 16 fours and five sixes.

A reminder it was India's fastest World Cup century and he now has seven in the global tournament, the outright most, overtaking Sachin Tendulkar.

    Thanks Tom.

Been a stroll for India this, hasn't it?

It is a matter of when they win, rather than if.

  14. Ind 202-1published at 25 overs

Just the single off the rest of the over means Virat Kohli retains the strike next up.

We have reached the halfway stage of the innings with just 71 more runs needed for victory. The way India are playing I don't think they will take very long to get there.

Here to guide you guide you through the rest of the chase is Callum Matthews.

You've got to be here to see how powerful Virat Kohli is because he doesn't hit the ball that hard. He just picks the gaps.

    Kohli joins the party!

  17. Ind 201-1published at 24.2 overs

Azmatullah Omarzai comes back into the attack but it cannot stem the flow of runs as Virat Kohli pulls powerfully through the on-side for four to bring up the India 200.

The moment Virat Kohli came in there was a little huddle and they immediately returned to Naveen-ul-Haq.

It is a no-win situation for Kohli because Naveen needs one ball. He's already distracted him. Kohli is over-compensating by focusing on Naveen and he's cramped up as a result.

  19. Ind 197-1published at 24 overs

Just the three singles off Naveen-ul-Haq's latest over. That probably goes down as a small win for Afghanistan considering the treatment dished out by the India batters so far.

Is Naveen raising his game because it is Virat Kohli at the other end?
