  1. 50 runs

    Ind 54-1published at 7 overs

    Target 192

It's Virat Kohli on the pull this time and while he doesn't make the same contact as Rohit Sharma a few balls earlier, he gets enough to find the boundary.

Four more! Kohli had to reach for it but he middles this one. Crunched through extra cover.

A big over for India as the runs just keep coming.

That has gone miles. He makes it look so easy.

  3. 6 runs

    Ind 45-1published at 6.1 overs

    Target 192

Hooked high over long leg for six by Rohit Sharma!

He picks up the length of Shaheen Afridi's bouncer and wallops it into the crowd.

Pakistan have to build pressure. Building the dot balls. If you cast your mind back to Pakistan's innings it was from building that pressure, and we know one brings two.

There was a chance. A hint of a chance for Hasan Ali from Virat Kohli. It almost brushed his fingertips. A photograph of it would have made the front page of every newspaper in Pakistan if it had stuck.

  6. Ind 39-1published at 6 overs

    Target 192

Just one from Hassan Ali's over and even that had an element of risk as Rohit Sharma pushed the ball back past the bowler.

It hung it the air but was just out of reach of Hassan as he dived to his left.

Until that last delivery it was good thinking by Shaheen Afridi. You have to work your variations. If the ball is not seaming or swinging you have to vary your angles, your point of delivery. Virat Kohli is such a good driver of the ball.

  8. Ind 38-1published at 5 overs

    Target 192

Top shot from Virat Kohli to end the over, driving crisply through the covers for four to punish Shaheen Afridi as he overpitches.

A few balls earlier, Rohit Sharma had a bit of luck with a thick edge that flew at a catchable height but just wide of Shadab Khan at backward point.

There are more fans wearing Kohli shirts than any other player. And if you have any doubt, see this video I took just before entering the stadium.

The last thing Rohit Sharma wants to do is lose his focus here. He's in such good form that he has to concentrate just that little bit harder.

This is not going to be a threatening challenge so he has to make sure he doesn't get out to a casual shot.

  11. Ind 31-1published at 4 overs

    Target 192

That wicket hasn't stemmed the flow of runs.

Hassan Ali offers width outside off to Rohit Sharma, who slaps the ball away backward of point for four.

The Pakistan seamer then overcorrects and Rohit works him through mid-wicket for four more.

India are racing towards their target.

  12. Ind 23-1published at 3 overs

    Target 192

After the silence that greeted the wicket, the Ahmedabad crowd are up again to welcome Virat Kohli to the crease.

He plays out a dot ball to end the Shaheen Afridi over.

It was hit so hard but it went to Pakistan's best fielder. Can Pakistan develop this story a little bit more? It's something which has given them a lift. They needed that breakthrough. It's about exerting pressure.

    Caught at backward point!

Four gorgeous boundaries but nothing more for Shubman Gill as he slashes the ball to Shadab Khan.

It was a little short and a little wide from Shaheen Afridi, Gill hit it nicely but in the air and straight to the fielder.

Can't help but feel the crowd played a part in Pakistan's collapse. It's not easy playing in front of 132,000 fans all supporting India. Still, the batting from Pakistan was atrocious. Too many players trying to be the hero, trying to play ridiculous shots. The match is India's to lose now.

Four more! This time it's just stroked through the covers by Shubman Gill. Just a very classy shot.

And another boundary. On the pads and Gill glances it down to fine leg. India are more than 10% of the way to their target already.

    Quality. Absolute quality.

That is the problem with Pakistan, they can leak runs. They are trying to swing the ball but it was in the driving range.

  20. Ind 14-0published at 1.3 overs

Another very classy shot from Shubman Gill.

He stands up and effortlessly drives the ball past mid-off for four.
