Here is how England's breakthrough started, thanks to Adil Rashid.

The stands and areas of this ground are named after various India legends. There’s the Virat Kohli pavilion, the Gautam Gambhir stand, the Bishan Bedi stand and below is the Virender Sehwag gate…
Thanks, Sam.
Three quick wickets, with Adil Rashid starring with the ball, have really got England back into this game.
The run-rate has also tumbled, with no boundaries coming in more than four overs.
The key for England? Making the most of this turnaround.
More good news for England then with Reece Topley back out there.
Liam Livingstone is quickly through his first over of the day, conceding just two from it.
This feels like a very different game to the one we saw before drinks.
To take you through the next phase of it, I'll hand you over to Jonty Colman.

Reece Topley is back on the field after that injury worry.

It was Hashmatullah Shahidi, the Afghanistan captain, who called the run and he should know better. They will have done their research before the game and know England's fielding strength.
How pivotal an over could that prove to be in this game - and, indeed, in England's tournament?
Suddenly, they have two new batters in and a chance to put the pressure back on Afghanistan.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz was furious as he walked off and gave a chair on the boundary edge a real whack with his bat as he went past!

All of these teams are in the World Cup and have earned the right to be at the World Cup. England are just starting to turn the wheel and put some pressure back on Afghanistan.

What on earth has happened for Afghanistan here. Their brilliant start is being undone by some good bowling and some chaotic running.
Gurbaz run out (sub Willey) 80 (Afg 122-3)
Afghanistan are doing their best to throw away their brilliant start!
Two wickets in two balls - and the set batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz is gone.
Hashmatullah Shahidi tucked his first ball into the leg side and set off for a single that was never on.
Gurbaz responded, put in the dive, but even though it was a pretty wild throw from David Willey, Jos Buttler was able to take it and break the stumps with the batter barely in the frame.

Jos Buttler had the best view in the house and he would have known the foot was not behind the line. Glorious from Adil Rashid, and the sharp hands of the England captain did the rest.
Rahmat st Buttler b Rashid 3 (Afg 122-2)
Gone! Quick work from Jos Buttler behind the stumps.
It's a superb delivery from Adil Rashid, full enough to drag Rahmat Shah forward before dipping and turning just enough to beat the bat.
Rahmat had left his ground as he stretched to get to the pitch of the ball and he wasn't able to get back in time as Buttler took the stumps in a flash.
Has Adil Rashid got another one?
Jos Buttler whips off the bails as Rahmat Shah prodded forward and the England skipper thinks this is out.
It's going upstairs...
Gurbaz 80, Rahmat 3
Excellent work on the rope from Joe Root denies Rahmanullah Gurbaz another boundary.
Afghanistan do manage to take seven from the Mark Wood over but just limiting the boundaries is an improvement for England.

Of the two batters England would have probably have wanted to get the wicket of Rahmanullah Gurbaz rather than Ibrahim Zadran, but it is still a good breakthrough, because of Afghanistan's start. Can England build some pressure and get two or three more wickets quickly now.
Rahmat Shah is the new batter for Afghanistan and gets off the mark with a single to long on.
But that's a good over from Adil Rashid, the wicket and just four runs from it.
England have been much improved in the three overs since drinks. That talking to from Jos Buttler may have done the trick.

There is the breakthrough, finally! Straight to short mid-wicket and good sharp catch by Joe Root. Adil Rashid looks delighted.
Ibrahim c Root b Rashid 28 (Afg 114-1)
Breakthrough!
Maybe not the batter that England would most have wanted rid of but they'll take what they can get.
Ibrahim Zadran tries to smash a full ball from Adil Rashid leg side but doesn't get the elevation and Joe Root leaps to take the catch.
Rashid is delighted, England needed that.

Ben Stokes has just been given a standing ovation by one section of the crowd while carrying drinks around the boundary.
