If you want a wicket, that's why you play your wrist spinner.

It's a bit streaky, but Hashmatullah gets his reward.
Need 25 from 28 balls
Eeek. That is a bit of fortune for Afghanistan.
There's spin and bounce for Usama Mir as Hashmatullah Shahidi looks to advance.
The Afghanistan captain readjusts and gets a very thin edge past Muhammad Rizwan for four.
Oh, we're back to spin.
Usama Mir is coming back on.

Shaheen Afridi will be so upset at this fielding. Every run matters, every ball counts.

Pakistan have donated so many runs to Afghanistan tonight.
Need 30 from 30 balls
Pakistan have been poor in the field. There have been some poor stops and now an overthrow as Babar Azam fails to back up properly. He and some others stare at the thrower but Babar has to do more there, he didn't even attempt to stop it.
That's better fielding though as Haris Rauf gets round at third to stop a thick edge and keep Afghanistan to a single.

I think they've left using him late. If Afghanistan win, it's not necessarily going to the last over.

Shaheen Afridi can get you a wicket at any time.
Babar Azam knows he needs wickets.
Shaheen Afridi is coming back on.

This is the solidity of the new-look Afghanistan middle order. They have to walk it home. I just don't see a scenario where Afghanistan collapse and don't get another partnership to get the job done.
Here's how Rahmat Shah brought up his half-century.

It is now less than a run a ball.

Is this going be our first cliffhanger?
Need 35 from 36 balls
Muhammad Rizwan and Haris Rauf try and convince Babar Azam to take a review for a strangle down the leg side by Hashmatullah Shahidi, but the captain says no. It's a good call too, with the replay showing it came off the thigh pad.
Rauf is getting moody too as the umpires give a wide on weight.
He still looks grumpy at the end of the over despite Usama Mir stopping a boundary with a good piece of fielding. It hasn't been Rauf's day.

All the partnerships so far from Afghanistan have had a really good tempo.
Need 41 from 39 balls
Three singles start the over.
The fifty partnership is up between Hashmatullah Shahidi and Rahmat Shah too.

It is a seven over test. If Afghanistan can get 44 in the last seven overs, they would have passed the test with flying colours.
Pace is back.
Haris Rauf replaces Usama Mir.
Need 44 from 42 balls
Oh my. A beauty from Shadab Khan as he gets one to grip and turn past Hashmatullah Shahidi. Lovely ball.
The Afghanistan captain composes himself though and picks up another couple to end the over.
Afghanistan need 44 more for their record ODI chase and first 50-over win over Pakistan.
