Chris Silverwood watches on in disbelief. It's a good catch but that was just waft of the bat.
Samarawickrama c Shreyas b Siraj 0 (SL 2-3)
Chaos. Utter chaos.
A bit wider from Siraj and Sadeera Samarawickrama can't resist. He swings loosely, gets an edge that flies to slip and Shreyas Iyer does well to cling on.
Not a run off the bat for any of Sri Lanka's top three.

The first eight balls of the innings, we've had three reviews, two wickets, two golden ducks and two wides.

India can smell a quick game here.
OK, fair enough. That's a better review and Sri Lanka are breathing a huge sigh of relief that Nissanka's first one was umpire's call, otherwise they'd be out.
Samarawickrama hit the floor, not the ball. Can't really blame the umpire there because it is so, so noisy.
Prakash Wakankar
BBC Test Match Special commentator
He's taken that up straight away. The umpire is laughing, looking at his watch thinking he might get a hot soup.
What on earth is happening?!
Samarawickrama is given out caught behind first ball, India are absolutely buzzing, but he's reviewed this one too!
Michael Vaughan
Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special
That is a stinker of a review. He would've known he didn't hit that. He's burned that for one of his team-mates. This attack in these conditions, it does something and you feel better as a bowling attack. You know it is not hot and sticky and you're not out there in that for four hours.
Karunaratne lbw b Siraj 0 (SL 2-2)
A horror, horror start.
It's hitting middle stump so that review was wasted. Another full, straight delivery and Karunaratne tries to play across the line, but is trapped in front.
358 already felt a long way away before a ball was bowled. It now feels impossible.
Michael Vaughan
Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special
Wow. That first delivery whips back into Karunaratne. I don't think he has hit that. Sri Lanka, why did you bowl first?
Another first ball, another wicket?!
This time it's Mohammed Siraj at work. Karunaratne is given out lbw on field, but sends it upstairs. Again, this is probably more out of desperation.
Target 358
It should be illegal to be as good as Jasprit Bumrah.
He beats the edge of Kusal Mendis before the batter chips one in the air just over the bowler's head.
With two wides in the over as well, it's a chaotic start.
Remember what I said about Kusal Mendis needing his openers to put on a stand so that he could take a breather?
No chance. He's in second ball.
He's greeted by a wild leg-side wide from Bumrah.
Michael Vaughan
Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special
I don't think anyone survives that delivery, unless your legs are out of the way and you snick it. It is an absolute jaffa.
Nissanka lbw b Bumrah 0 (SL 0-1)
The perfect start for India!
It's umpire's call on height so Sri Lanka don't lose their review but that is a nightmare way to start the innings.
Full, straight and swinging from Bumrah and Nissanka plays all around it. It is a beauty and he trudges off, shoulders slumped.
Michael Vaughan
Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special
The umpire's finger goes up straight away. Sri Lanka have gambled, I don't think anyone is ready to come in. Someone is still there with a plate of food. That is a magnificent delivery.
Prakash Wakankar
BBC Test Match Special commentator
It looks pretty plumb.
No chance indeed!
Pathum Nissanka is struck on the pad first ball and given! He reviews with a couple of seconds to spare but I think it's out of hope more than anything.
When you're chasing 358 to win, you want a few steady overs to settle yourselves in and hopefully get off to a flyer.
No chance of that against India, as Nissanka sees Jasprit Bumrah charging in towards him.
