A stumping? Azmatullah swings, misses and Scott Edwards whips off the bails.

Did he lift his foot? It's a very smart bit of work from the keeper, if so.

  2. Afg 163-3published at 29 overs

    Need 17 runs to win

Colin Ackermann, one of four run out victims for the Netherlands earlier, rattles through another over with just three singles conceded.

Afghanistan edge closer to their fourth win of the World Cup campaign. An astonishing effort.

It's going to be three winning chases for Afghanistan and Hashmat has passed 150 without being dismissed.

Perhaps they'll enjoy themselves a bit more now they're over the 150 mark. Come on!

  5. Afg 160-3published at 28 overs

    Need 20 runs to win

Finally a distraction from all the eke chat.

Azmatullah thumps one straight back down the ground for four, before captain Hashmatullah skips down the pitch and whacks another one with a little more oomph for the same result.

    That's more like it.

Afghanistan have been a lot more structured, when you look at the wins the Netherlands have had, it feels like they've been one-off magnificent performances that have done it.

    Target 180

I've now read the word 'eke' so many times that it no longer makes sense to me.

I think this World Cup group stage has frazzled all our brains.

Still no smile from Jonathan Trott. He won't be smiling until the game is won!

    Target 180

It's been said so many times now that I can't think of any other words than 'eke'.

Afghanistan tick (got one!) four singles from Paul van Meekeren's over without any alarm.

Cheers, Mike. I have no idea what that means. Is it a compliment?

  11. Afg 142-3published at 25 overs

Bit of non-ekery as Azmat drills Zulfiqar to the cover boundary.

Here's Ffion Wynne to see this match home. She won't eke, though. She's a non-eker.

  12. Afg 136-3published at 24 overs

Afghanistan doing a dictionary definition of eking here, as they head towards their target of 180.

Azmat takes two into mid-wicket, then pushes a single into the covers. Top eking.

Despite that wicket, Afghanistan will still feel comfortable.

For the Netherlands, bowling them out is the only way they are going to win. If I was their coach, I'd be saying it doesn't matter if you lose the game in the 30th over - just make sure you make it hard for them and make those opportunities.

  14. Afg 130-3published at 23 overs

Azmat arrives at the crease for Afghanistan and he sees off the final two balls of the over.

He'll be so annoyed with himself. It is such a soft dismissal and for a set batter, that is frustrating. He would have wanted to be there at the end and take the side to victory.

Well, Rahmat Shah has completely thrown that away. He has patted the simplest of return catches back to the spinner.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 22.4 overs

    Rahmat Shah c & b Saqib Zulfiqar 52 (Afg 129-3)

Rahmat won't see his side home!

It's a gimme wicket for Saqib Zulfiqar, the Afghan batter just chips the ball back to him and he snaffles the catch.

Probably too late to make a difference for the Netherlands, but a glimmer of hope.

  18. Afg 124-2published at 22 overs

Logan van Beek tightens it back up at the other end, Rahmat and Hashmat take a single apiece from the over.

You just can't give those free hits away, especially as a spinner. There isn't much pressure on the batters at the moment anyway but that just makes their life even easier.

  20. Afg 122-2published at 21 overs

The Netherlands bring Saqib Zulfiqar into the attack and it's an expensive over to start.

Hashmat cuts away an over-step no ball for three, then strikes consecutive fours - slapping the ball over the Dutch bowler's head before a thick edge flies to the ropes past the keeper.
