The pace from Mark Wood! The problem with it is that the ball flies away - I don't think he's bowled a bad ball.

The pace from Mark Wood! The problem with it is that the ball flies away - I don't think he's bowled a bad ball.
Marcus Stoinis must be a good poker player.
Mark Wood quite deliberately sets the field up for a short ball with his final delivery, but the bluff is spotted by the Aussie batter who anticipates something fuller and drives it through point for four.

We've had all of the hits from the DJ today - Freed From Desire earlier and now the YMCA.
I might ask if he can do my wedding next year.
Mark Wood starts with a couple of dots to Cameron Green as they resume their battle.
The crowd are revved up as he bounds in and hits the deck hard. Green is able to work it off his body round the corner for a single.
Here's the dismissal of Marnus Labuschagne from Wood from a few moments. It was actually a fairly expensive over from Wood up till this point, but the Durham man is in the side to get wickets.

Just the second boundary Adil Rashid's conceded, and he's in his ninth over.
Marcus Stoinis goes down on one knee and heaves Adil Rashid's fourth ball into the stands on the leg side. That was a big ol' hit, right out of the meat of the Aussie's bat.
A couple of good battles going on here.
Pak 152-1 (20 overs, target 402)
Pakistan are going for this and they are going for it very well.
Opener Fakhar Zaman has smashed a blistering 63-ball century as Pakistan reach 152-1 from 20 overs.
New Zealand are on the ropes, and that is quite something when they hit 401-6 in their innings. Further bad news for the Black Caps is that there are some dark clouds above and Pakistan are significantly ahead of them on DLS.
Fakhar has hit an incredible nine sixes and six fours in the knock and is supported by his captain Babar Azam, who has 43.

SAFCPete: Should Australia declare now they are past the recent totals England have managed?

He just puts it down and angles it down to deep third. Harry Brook stood no chance.
No Glenn Maxwell today, of course, after his golf buggy injury. Marcus Stoinis is the new batter. for Australia.
Mark Wood bangs it in short, quick and aggressive to Cameron Green and the ball hits him on the gloves just below his helmet as he attempts to fend it off. Done for pace.
The England quick fires down a yorker next ball but Green jams his bat down and the ball races through third for four.

For this Australian team to prosper it feels like so much relies on the openers doing their job and Glenn Maxwell being there at five to do his.
I think enjoying the feelgood story with Afghanistan, Russell, comes with the caveat of what's happened with their women's team.
Their players have had a global stage at World Cup to say something on the issue but have not done so - probably for fear of retribution back home, which is understandable.
Adil Rashid backs up that Mark Wood wicket with a tight over.

Russell Moore: I can't be the only one, but the main reason I want England to do well today is simply because I want Afghanistan in the semi-finals.

You mentioned Marnus Labuschagne slowly made his way off the field, he's now slowly making his way up the tunnel to the dressing room. I think it might take him three or four minutes.
Labuschagne lbw b Wood 71 (Aus 178-5)
Gone!
Marnus Labuschagne is back and across, attempts to work it to leg, but is struck high on the pad.
Height might have been an issue but he was deep in his crease and the ball-tracking technology backs up the original decision made on the field by Marais Erasmus.
No bat involved...

Labuschagne reviews - he always does. But that was a quick decision from Marais Erasmus, his finger went straight up.
Mark Wood hits Marnus Labuschagne high on the pad.
Given out on field.
Labuschagne decides to review. Could be a big moment in the context of this game.
Pak 106-1 (15 overs, target 402)
A Pakistan victory keeps things very interesting in terms of qualification so it's good news for England, Sri Lanka, the Netherlands and obviously Pakistan themselves at the moment.
They are going along very nicely in pursuit of this enormous target. Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman have added 100 for the second wicket, with opener Fakhar still the aggressor with his 68 from 47 balls so far.
Babar has 31 as he looks to play the anchor role but has the capability to score quickly once he gets settled.

That was steered by Labuschagne. Liam Livingstone took off - he almost got his hands to it!
